A woman who has spent thousands on her tattoos has claimed "older people can look good with ink".

Kerstin Ehe, 55, from Leipzig, Germany, went for her first ever tattoo back in April 2015.

At the time, she didn't think she would spend the next few years covering her body with art.

Now the full-time taxi driver is on a mission to prove that the older generation can also look good with tattoos.

In total, Kerstin has splashed a whopping £26,651 (€30,000) on tattoos in the past few years.

She said: "The first ever tattoo I got was going to be on my hand which my artist said it would be too painful for my first time.

"We started at the top of my upper arm so I always wanted to have more and more added after that.

"I enjoy looking so beautiful, colourful and extraordinary. I like making people smile with my tattoos of flowers and butterflies.

"And I wanted something that would last for eternity."

Kerstin admits to spending thousands of pounds on her tattoo craze and puts most of her money into getting more done.

She added: "I don't drink, I don't smoke, I don't go on holidays, I don't have an expensive apartment.

"I invest in everything I have in tattoos. I've spent between €25,000 to €30,000 (£22,000-£26,000) on them."

The tattooed babe says that while there is no "significance" behind her inkings, she does love flowers, butterflies and skulls.

She launched her Instagram page back in 2016 to show that "older people can look good with tattoos".

Kerstin explained: "I think my account has been so successful because people love my crazy and colourful personality."

And she's often inundated with comments from fans, with many telling her she's "beautiful".

But some followers aren't really keen on her intricate designs.

Kerstin, who also has her own OnlyFans page, added: "Some people tell me it doesn't look good or that I have too many.

"Some even say I should think about what I'm going to look like when I'm older and my skin is wrinkled.

"We all grow old, there is no way around it but many people don't understand that it doesn't matter if you're covered in tattoos or not.

"Everyone's skin is going to look old and you only live once."
