These On-Sale Designer Jeans Are Upgrading a Vintage Trend to Perfection
Flares are back! Well, sort of. They look similar, but not quite the same. It’s like when we haven’t seen an old friend for a while and can’t figure out just what’s different. It’s not too hard to figure it out in this case, though. These flares aren’t the type we’d find everywhere we looked back in the ’70s to early ’00s, just before they died off. They’re a new and improved version, and they’re the hottest jean style in all of denim right now!

These Hustler jeans have a flared cut-off hem, featuring frayed detailing where the hem hits at the ankle. These are no bell-bottoms — they’ll never even come close to grazing the floor! This style is so in right now, managing to make casual denim incredibly chic!
These jeans are constructed of a cotton blend, and one reviewer called the material “the softest denim ever.” It’s a mid-wash blue shade, called Wishful Drinking, featuring fading starting at the lower thighs and ending just below the knees. Styling these jeans could not get any easier. Their higher rise offers endless options for crop tops or tucked-in blouses, but, as with all jeans, we can also choose to let any shirt hang loose over the waistline. A top we can tie at the hem would be adorable too!
As for footwear, the options remain vast. Because these jeans are cropped, they leave room for anything from sophisticated sandals, to booties, to sneakers. Currently, we’re really into slip-on sneakers, especially those with a lower cut. They would be perfection with these Hustlers!
If we’re going for a dressy-casual look, we recommend tucking in a button-up top. As for footwear, heeled sandals or even a pair of leathery loafers would work seamlessly. From there, it’s all about accessorizing, so make sure to grab a crossbody with a chain strap or a clutch and get to layering on some sparkling jewelry!
