Tulisa looks very different with mint green hair transformation and a full fringe

New music, new hair looks to have been the thinking behind Tulisa Contostavlos’ brand new look, as the N-Dubz singer shows off her major hair transformation.

Tulisa, 34, showed off her incredible new makeover on Instagram on Friday as she announced the band’s new single had been released with a series of photos that showed her with a stunning mint green hair colour and full fringe.

Known for her usually long, super dark locks, the colour switch was a huge transformation for Tulisa. Rather than glossy jet black waves, she had a vibrant, mint green colour with hints of white and blue that matched her mint green and black outfit from the band’s promo pics perfectly.

She also showed off a feathery full fringe with face framing layers, and had her hair styled into a half up half down style with two space buns, whilst the rest of her hair was straightened into a smooth, sleek finish.

Fans of Tulisa’s usually dark locks don’t need to worry though. The dramatic transformation wasn’t all it seemed, as her hair stylist Carl Bembridge revealed on his Instagram that the stunning makeover was actually the result of a wig made especially for the band’s new music release.

In his Instagram post, Carl shared that he had sourced the wig from Glamor Hair London, before custom colouring it using Crazy Color hair dye. For anyone wanting to recreate the beautiful pastel mint shade at home, you’ll be pleased to know that he also shared exactly which shades were used to bring the colour to life.

Carl used shades Peppermint,£6.52 here, and Blue Jade,£5.99 here, combined together, and mixed in some Neutral,£7.51 here, which helps tone down bold colours and turns them into softer pastel tones.

To style, Carl then used his Shark Beauty tools, from £149.99 here, to smooth out Tulisa’s hair whilst maintaining volume and fullness in the fringe and face layers. To finish off and achieve the sleek, glossy finish, he applied Color Wow Cult Favorite Firm + Flexible Hairspray,£24 here, and the Extra Mist-icle Shine Spray,£26 here.

The finished effect was an ultra cool futuristic finish that suited Tulisa’s mint green and black latex outfit perfectly, while her makeup artist continued the colour palette in her makeup, giving Tulisa dramatic black winged eyeliner, with a bright pop of mint green under her eyes in her waterline, and mint green nails with black heart motifs.

The overall look would be absolutely perfect for festival season, so get your wigs at the ready!
