Since Holly Willoughby revealed she's taking another week off from This Morning, fans have shared their thoughts about what she could be doing during her time away from the hit programme.

The blonde beauty, who has been making the most of the sunshine during her time off, took to Instagram over the weekend to tell her followers that Rochelle Humes is filling in for her on the daytime programme this week, but when will she be back?

When will Holly Willoughby return to This Morning?

Rochelle Humes is currently hosting This Morning alongside Phillip Schofield and will be doing so for the whole of this week.

Is it believed Holly, 40, will then return to the sofa and resume her presenting duties from next Monday (26 April).

Rochelle confirmed the news during her first episode, as she said: “Don’t worry, Holly’s back next week. It’s alright, it’s just temporarily.”

Why is Holly Willoughby not on This Morning?

Holly has taken an extra week off This Morning to work on a new "mystery" project.

The presenter is yet to announce what she's up to, but she shared a snap to Instagram with her son Chester, six, jumping on her back as she was laying on the grass.

Holly’s fans have shared their theories about what the exciting secret project could be and many believe she might be filming her acting debut in Midsomer Murders.

One follower said: "Thinking could it be midsummers TV drama. I remember them asking you to join them on the drama and they would see what they could arrange.

"This was a few weeks ago when you and Phil were chatting to a couple cast members on your show. Good luck whatever it is." [sic]

Another fan wrote: "Would it be midsomer," alongside a red heart emoji.

A third added: "i think holly is working on her midsomer murders scripts."

A fourth said: "Checking your script out for Midsummer murders maybe?" alongside a thinking face emoji." [sic]

The speculation comes after Holly landed a role on the the British detective drama series back in March.

Holly Willoughby's wardrobe

The stars of the show, Neil Dudgeon and Nick Hendrix, appeared on This Morning on Thursday 18 March and surprised the presenter with the news.

"We had a brief meeting this morning to discuss how we were best to do this and I think we're best to do it right now and for you to tell my friend here what she doesn't know," Phillip Schofield said as he kept his eyes peeled on Neil and Nick's face, leaving Holly left wondering.

A confused Holly, questioned: "What don't I know?" to which Neil responded: "About future stars of Midsomers…

"We've all had a big talk about who we want to appear on Midsomer, and we decided we want Holly Willoughby to appear in an episode of Midsomer Murders very soon.

"I’ve been speaking to people upstairs and they’ve been speaking to your people. Holly please, I am emboldened here to offer you a role in Midsomer Murders."

In disbelief, Holly turned to Phil to whisper: "Are you serious?" before clasping her hands up to her mouth. She then screamed: "Yes!" before tearing up and continuing: "I’ve seen every episode since it started way back when!"
