Woman slammed by match for refusing to date him over kids as viewers left split

A woman who swiftly ended her chat with a potential date after he revealed he had children was horrified by his response – and some viewers supported him.
TikTok user Coco Briscoe shared the messages she exchanged with a match on online dating app Bumble.
She explained that the man, Ryan, had not mentioned in his profile that he had children and it only came up as they were talking back and forth.
As soon as she realised, Coco messaged him: “Sorry, but kids are a deal-breaker for me. Hope you find what you’re looking for on here.”
But the man did not take the snub well in the slightest and instead decide to make fun of her age.
“You’re 40 years old,” he said. “How many options you really think you’ve got? I hope you like cats because trust me those looks are about to fade real quick.”
Horrified by the sudden change in tone, Coco replied with a final shutdown.
She wrote: “That’s just a personal preference. Clearly you’re an aggressive and rude person which is another deal breaker.”
The TikToker then turned to the camera and said: “Just because a woman does not want to have children and does not want to take care of your children, does not give you a right to insult her.
“I am so sick of this toxicity I could f***ing scream.”
The video has gone viral since it was posted and sparked a debate online.
Some supported the dad, saying: “I get it, but the older you get the more you’re going to have to get over that people have kids. I personally don’t know anyone over 30 that doesn’t have one.”
Another added: “I mean, you could put that you’re not looking for anyone with kids in your profile if it’s a deal breaker for you. Stop wasting others peoples time?”
But the vast majority were on Coco’s side with a third saying: “When men show you how right you were to reject them.”
And someone else commented: “How in the world are people twisting this to be your fault? You were super polite to him? And you have a right to preferences?”
