Dani Ceballos asks Real Madrid to terminate Arsenal loan and find him a new club after Arteta snub – The Sun

DANI CEBALLOS is trying to leave Arsenal before the end of this month, according to reports.

The 23-year-old is on a season-long loan at the Emirates from Real Madrid, making 17 appearances for the Gunners.

But in recent months the Spaniard has become a forgotten man in North London.

Having started the season as a stalwart under Unai Emery, Ceballos was playing regularly and the loan appeared to be going well.

He was then struck down by a hamstring injury in the Europa League clash at Vitoria Guimares on November 6, and hasn't played again since.

In his absence, the Gunners sacked Unai Emery – before being guided by interim boss Freddie Ljungberg for six matches.

By the time Ceballos returned to fitness, Mikel Arteta had been appointed. His fellow Spaniard, however, hasn't fielded his loanee from Madrid at all.

And AS claim that Ceballos has told his parent club to find him another team for the second half of the season.

Having won nine Spain caps in his career so far, Ceballos has an outside chance of making Luis Enrique's Euro 2020 squad in the summer.

And he feels that leaving the Gunners will give him a better opportunity to play, and prove that he is deserving of a spot.
