He relished stepping up to this trip when scoring at Haydock and has more to offer as a stayer.

LANEQASH (3.15 Newmarket, nb)

He was unlucky not to catch Pogo at Haydock last time after meeting trouble in running. He gets 3lb from his rival here which can turn that form around.

SPYCATCHER (2.25 Newcastle, treble)

He looks to be crying out for this trip at a stiff track like Newcastle. He went close in the Group 2 Duke Of York Stakes before finding an extended 7f a bit far at Haydock. He should be right there.

STRIKE RED has won both his races over C&D and was fourth in a blanket finish at Hamilton last time.

He’s close to his last winning mark and trainer Richard Fahey is in good form.

Tipperary Tiger improved to score at Hamilton latest and is from another trainer in Karl Burke who is flying.

He looks a good price to hit the frame.

Raatea didn’t fire at York latest but has decent form at this level and is capable of bouncing back.

Sound Reason goes well here over 5f and would have every chance if seeing out this extra furlong.

2.25

SPYCATCHER looks to be crying out for this trip at a stiff track like Newcastle.

He went close in the Group 2 Duke Of York Stakes before finding an extended 7f a bit far at Haydock. He should be right there.

Edraak was a little unlucky when a close-up third at Salisbury after meeting traffic problems. He has scored here before.

Sense Of Duty tanked along when winning a Haydock Listed race over this trip.

That was just her fourth run and she can improve plenty for William Haggas.

Glen Shiel is a Group 1 performer who won on his last visit here two years ago and can’t be ruled out.

2.55

GEREMIA has a good record on the all-weather and went close in a hot contest at York last time.

He wasn’t at his best at Musselburgh after that but returning to this surface from a fair mark could do the trick.

Evaluation was just ahead of the tip on the Knavesmire and scored again at Musselburgh last time.

He’s got plenty of weight now but could progress further and is a big threat.

Zealandia is interesting upped in trip after a good win last time.

Haveyoumissedme goes well here and went close at Haydock so has every chance.

Zoffee is another stayer with more to offer.

3.30

VALLEY FORGE can go clear in the Northumberland Plate.

He relished stepping up to this trip when scoring at Haydock and has more to offer as a stayer.

Bandinelli will be much happier back on the all-weather and is a danger along with Rajinsky and Sir Mark Prescott hope Summer’s Knight and the well-backed course winner Onesmoothoperator.

Trueshan is easily the best horse in the race but he’s likely to find the ground too lively.

NEWMARKET

2.05

FRANKIE Dettori can send out a message by guiding LEZOO to victory.

Ralph Beckett’s filly showed lots of zip when scoring on debut at Bath last time and should relish moving up a furlong.

Trainer George Boughey is enjoying a purple patch and his Malrescia looks a threat.

She scored by four lengths at Hamilton before a Lingfield AW victory over this trip.

The yard also runs Believing who was a smooth winner at Wolverhampton after a good debut at Newmarket.

She got upset in the stalls at Royal Ascot and came out but the fact she was there speaks volumes. There’s more to come.

Minnetonka had an impressive seven lengths in hand when scoring on debut at Salisbury and looks well above average.

Miska liked this trip when scoring at Nottingham but this is a fair bit tougher.

2.40

STOWELL should be happy dropping back to this trip after not getting home over further at Royal Ascot.

He went close in a Group 3 the last time he tackled this trip and fast ground suits.

Rebel’s Romance was below par in Dubai this spring but has run well in much stronger races than this.

Stablemate Kemari is another dropping in trip but he has enough pace to figure and still looked a bit rusty at York latest.

Universal Order went close at Haydock and won this two years ago so can’t be discounted.

Outsider Something Enticing went close at Goodwood latest and looks a big price.

3.15

LANEQASH was unlucky not to catch Pogo at Haydock last time after meeting trouble in running.

He gets 3lb from his rival here which can turn that form around.

Sunray Major looks a big player after finishing a close fourth in that John Of Gaunt Stakes.

He’s another who didn’t get the run of the race.

Art Duval looks a big price with William Buick in the saddle. He was very rusty when second at York on comeback and can finish closer.

Ever Given struck over this trip at Epsom on Oaks day and that form has been franked. He has place claims in this stronger company.
