    Odegaard calls for Arsenal response

Captain Martin Odegaard has urged his Arsenal team-mates to step up to the plate and respond to the Everton defeat.

He said: "When you are down you have to step up and that's what we need to do this weekend.

"The last time we lost in the league we faced Brentford in the following game too, and we will be looking for the type of performance we put in when we beat them away back in September."

    UnBeelievable form

Many will have this down as a home win and it's hard to disagree, but Brentford have performed excellently against top six teams this season and might be quietly confident of picking up another positive result.

The Bees have already beaten Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool and drawn with Chelsea and Tottenham.

In fact, the only top side they've lost to was Arsenal and that was one of their worst performances of the campaign.

    Good afternoon from the Emirates

Welcome to our coverage for Arsenal's 3pm clash with Brentford.

The Gunners are looking to bounce back from their defeat at Everton last weekend and move eight points clear at the top of the table ahead of their crunch meeting with Manchester City on Wednesday.

But Brentford are the form team in the league right now and arrive in North London unbeaten in nine Prem games since losing at Aston Villa in October.
