Jose Mourinho to join Sky Sports as pundit this season with debut for Man Utd vs Chelsea – The Sun

JOSE MOURINHO has joined the Sky Sports punditry team for the 2019/20 season.

And the Portuguese will make his debut tomorrow ahead of the clash between Chelsea and Manchester United – his two former clubs.

Mourinho, 56, is set to join Gary Neville, Jamie Carragher, Graeme Souness and Jamie Redknapp on Friday and Saturday Night Football as well as Super Sunday and Monday Night Football.

And Sky Sports say that the Portuguese will "bring a wealth of knowledge from dressing rooms and dugouts across the country and strong opinions" to the studio.

While Mourinho claims it is a "pleasure" to join the team and return to "his place on the touchline".

He told Sky Sports: "The Premier League is a special competition for me, one that takes so much hard work to win and you just can't take your eyes off the matches every week.

"Sky Sports is the home of the Premier League and it's a pleasure for me to join this team and help to understand and explain what happened in each match.

"Football is a huge passion, it means so much to the fans, and I look forward to being part of the Premier League with them until I return to my place on the touchline."

SAY NO MOU

Mourinho has already worked as a pundit for RT Sport and beIN Sports, covering the Premier League as well as international football.

But fans are now delighted to see the Portuguese joining Sky Sports.

Although, they are curious how he will link up with Neville or Carragher, who used to slam Mourinho when he was in charge of United.

The Red Devils icon famously ripped into the Portuguese manager for "shaping his own philosophy" before he was sacked at Old Trafford.

To which he replied that Neville didn't know his philosophy – before taking a swipe at Jurgen Klopp.

And Premier League fans cannot wait for the pair to clash in the Sky Sports studio again.

Jake said: "You’re telling me that Mourinho, Souness, Neville, Carra and Roy Keane could be stuck in a box talking about football all at once? You really love to see it."

While Bilal added: "Mourinho on Sky Sports alongside Neville and Carragher, are you mad?"

And one tweeted: "I can already here him a absolutely destroying Neville and Carragher in a debate."
