Man Utd star Amad Diallo ‘loan transfer target for Feyenoord again after summer move fell apart due to injury’
FEYENOORD are preparing a fresh bid for Man Utd star Amad Diallo after an injury scuppered his loan move to the Dutch side in the summer.
Diallo, 19, was signed by the Red Devils from Italian club Atalanta for a reported fee of £21.25m in January, which could rise to as much as £34m with add-ons.
The Ivory Coast international had been due to go on loan to Feyenoord this summer for more regular first-team football, after only appearing eight times for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side last season.
But an injury in pre-season meant that he instead stayed at Old Trafford for his recovery, having only just returned to first-team training after several weeks out.
But according to Feyenoord transfermarkt, the club are still interested in Diallo and with first-team opportunities likely to be hard to come by at Old Trafford, he could be tempted to make the switch.
Following the arrivals of Jadon Sancho and Cristiano Ronaldo, places in Utd's attacking line-up are at a premium, and the young winger has only ever made 13 senior appearances in club football.
But the teenager remains highly regarded at Old Trafford, having made a strong impression on the coaching staff and his teammates in training since joining the club.

Crystal Palace were reportedly interested in signing Diallo on loan in the summer, with a number of other Premier League and Bundesliga clubs also keen on the Ivorian.
But out of all the interested clubs, Feyenoord was selected as the most suitable destination for Diallo, and it was a real blow to the Dutch side when the move fell apart.
Feyenoord technical director Frank Arnesen was quoted in Dutch outlet AD at the time saying: "He got injured, it's cancelled.
“Too bad, everything was done. I've talked a lot with the people at Manchester United, but it's more sensible to let him recover at that club.
"It may be a while before he comes back."
But with Diallo close to making a return, a move to the Eredivisie in January could be on the cards to help Feyenoord take on rivals Ajax and PSV in the hunt for their 16th league title.
They currently sit fifth in the Dutch league table, four points behind league leaders Ajax, with a game in hand.
After their loan move for Diallo collapsed, the Dutch club instead signed Arsenal's Reiss Nelson on loan, but he is yet to make an appearance for them after reportedly struggling with his fitness.
