Michael Smith's wife gave a 'foul-mouthed response' after he tried to ban her from the PDC World Darts Championship final.

Smith, 31, reached his second Ally Pally final after a 6-3 semi-final victory over James Wade on Monday night.

Bully Boy dominated the match from start to finish, hitting 16 180s and averaging 101 as he saw off his fellow Englishman.

He'll now take on 2020 world champion Peter Wright in Tuesday's final as he bids to win the Sid Waddell Trophy for the first time.

Winning a maiden world title would mean the world to the St Helens slinger, who, despite being a real family man, seemingly didn't want wife Dagmara, 29, present in north London for the final – not that she was having any of that.

Speaking after his win over Wade, Smith confirmed Dagmara and their two children would be in the crowd for the final – even though he tried to ban them for coming.

"They'll be here tomorrow. She's already said she's coming," Smith told the Live Darts YouTube channel.

"I said she's not allowed and then she swore at me and said 'I'm coming!'

"Just watching their faces, I know their faces will be even brighter and bigger if I do get that trophy."

Smith married Polish beauty Dagmara in 2019 and the couple have two children together.

The pair tied the knot just after the 2019 World Darts Championship final – which Smith lost to Michael van Gerwen.

In the build-up to the showpiece event, Bully Boy revealed his desire to have his walk-on song playing as he walked down the aisle.

He said: "My dream is that she will wait for me down the aisle so I can walk down with the trophy.

"And if so, I want my walk-on song coming on. "The person marrying us will then say to her, ‘Do you take the reigning world champion Michael Smith as your husband?’

"That’s what I want. And, trust me, I’ll do it. She will be the first woman to wait for the man."

Although Smith did indeed marry Dagmara, he didn't do it as the world champion after losing 7-3 to Van Gerwen.

He'll be hoping for a better outcome against Wright this evening.
