Pregnant ex Brenda Patea slams Alexander Zverev over Australian Open lies

The woman carrying Alexander Zverev’s baby has dropped a bomb on his recent claims they’re harmoniously awaiting the impending arrival.

Brenda Patea, a 27-year-old German model who dated Zverev for less than 12 months, is 36 weeks pregnant with his daughter.

She has unloaded on the world No. 7 — who lost to Novak Djokovic in the quarterfinals of the Australian Open on Tuesday night — after being irritated by recent interviews where he talked about how “Brenda and I will manage quite well” despite their relationship ending last year.

Patea conducted an Instagram question-and-answer session with her 292,000-strong following on Monday night and was bombarded with queries about the status of her relationship with Zverev.

“Okay, a lot of people ask since I have been seeing all these interviews with Alex lately, I really wonder what he wants to achieve?,” she wrote.

“‘Highlight of his life’? ‘He is pleased’? ‘Greatest place’? I hardly think so. Because we have no contact! And so far nothing has come from him! We were in contact a few months ago … when that was with his ex but that was it.

“Yes, it’s stupid about media … but hey if he gives such interviews with such statements I can finally say something about it … why?”

Asked if she always told Zverev when there were new developments with the baby, Patea wrote: “You could think through his statements but unfortunately not so! I don’t care now. Wanted to have ‘rest’ but so many people tell me ‘oh how already that you have contact or that there is interest’. (I’m) fed up with his ‘perfect interviews’. Be honest one day.”

Patea revealed the pregnancy in October last year and said she would not share custody of the child with her 23-year-old ex.

“I’m expecting a child from Alex,” Patea told German tabloid Bild. “We don’t have any communication with Alex right now, and frankly, I don’t plan to share custody of my child with him …

“But I will do everything to ensure that (the child grows) up in a harmonious and proper environment. I have the chance to raise my child alone.”

Patea detailed the reasons behind her split with Zverev, who approached her in a Paris coffee shop in October 2019 to begin their romance.

“We had crises before and then ended our relationship with Alex,” she said. “Because we have different views on life. Everyone who is with an athlete must submit to these situations.”

It’s not Zverev’s only off-court issue. Last October, days after Patea’s pregnancy was announced, he vehemently denied allegations of abuse from ex-girlfriend Olga Sharypova.

Sharypova detailed her claims in a feature story with Racquet Magazine, saying Zverev had become increasingly emotionally and physically abusive over the course of their 13-month relationship.

Zverev said the accusations were “unfounded” and “untrue.”
