Santi Cazorla, 34, reveals he would ‘love’ to return to Arsenal as either a player, coach or sporting director – The Sun

SANTI CAZORLA has revealed he would love to return to Arsenal in any capacity as he declared he misses everything about the club.

The 34-year-old – who has chipped in with five goals and four assists for Villarreal this season – was robbed of a goodbye at the Emirates due to his injury hell.

Cazorla – who has also given his backing to Unai Emery – was released by Arsenal last summer after failing to play since October 19, 2016 after picking up a seemingly innocuous injury against Ludogorets.

But he has been turning heads since re-joining the Yellow Submarine, where he has even been recalled back to the Spanish national team.

Arsenal fans have urged the club to re-sign Cazorla following his splendid start to the season with the player stating he would love to come back.

Speaking to The Independent, he said: "When you are at a big club like Arsenal, sometimes you don’t realise what it means to be there until you are gone.

“I never got to say a proper goodbye.

"It was the biggest team I played for in my career and I miss everything about Arsenal.

"I don’t know what my legacy is there, you would have to ask the fans, but I want to say thank you to them all.

"I would like to play at the Emirates one last time before I retire.

“I don’t know what I will do afterwards – maybe a coach, maybe a sporting director – but I would love to go back to Arsenal.

"I lived in London for six years. My son loved it there. In the future, we will see if I have the possibility.”

Cazorla also believes that Emery is still the right man for Arsenal, despite calls for the manager to leave with the club without a Premier League win in four games.
