According to the Manchester Evening News, all other developmental players will stay put at Old Trafford until the end of the season.

Ethan Galbraith, Matej Kovar and Dylan Levitt were linked with a transfer before deadline day.

But it seems like United have closed shop tonight.

    BERNARD DEAL FALLS THROUGH

According to Sky Sports, Bernard's proposed move to Al Nasr has fallen through.

Bernard staying could have a negative impact on The Toffees' chances of signing a forward on transfer Deadline Day.

Bournemouth's Josh King was a target for a late move.

    TOSUN JOINS BESIKTAS

Everton forward Cenk Tosun has joined Turkish side Besiktas for the remainder of the season.

The 29-year-old joined Everton from the Turkish outfit back in 2018, but failed to make an impact.

Tosun scored nine goals in 49 appearances for The Toffees.

    STAR PLAYERS

Mauricio Pochettino believes that both Neymar and Mbappe will stay at the club despite interest from Spain.

Barcelona have been constantly linked with a romantic reunion with Neymar, and Real Madrid would be a dream move for Mbappe.

Boss Pochettino admits he has his doubts, but remains optimistic that the pair will stay in the French capital for a long time.

    MENGI SPEAKS OUT

Manchester United youngster Teden Mengi spoke about his loan move to Derby on transfer deadline day.

Mengi told Derby's in-house media: "I’m really excited and I’m buzzing to be here.

"When I first heard Derby County were interested, it was a no-brainer for me to be in the Championship against good opponents and to be playing men’s football. I am really happy to be here.

“I think I did well in the Under-23s last season so I think I need a new challenge.

"I am a fighter with a willingness to defend and a ball-playing centre back and vocal as well. I am ready to kick on and this is a brilliant opportunity for me."

    CANCER DEADLINE DAY

Cancer charities have been hit hard as a result of COVID-19, so charities have united to "give cancer the boot".

Les Ferdinand: “COVID-19 has hit cancer charities hard, that’s why I’m calling on all football fans, players and clubs to give cancer the boot by donating to Cancer Deadline Day during the transfer window.

"Money raised will go to eight brilliant cancer charities and, after losing my mum to breast cancer, it feels more poignant than ever to be backing this new campaign, so that charities like Breast Cancer Now can continue to fund world-class research and life-changing support.

"Please donate anything you can by going to www.cancerdeadlineday.org and select your football club to help get them to the top of The Giving League Table by Feb 1st. QPR aren’t in the top ten, so let’s change that!”

Sir Rod Stewart: "As a proud supporter of Teenage Cancer Trust, I'm calling on all football fans to help give cancer the boot on Cancer Deadline Day. Wouldn't it be brilliant if your support could help get Celtic to the top of the table?"

Michael Owen: "I'm supporting the Ruth Strauss Foundation and seven other fantastic charities to help give cancer to boot. They really need your help in these difficult times. Please go to cancerdeadlineday.org and make a donation now."

Alan Shearer: "I'm proud to be a patron of the Sir Bobby Robson foundation, but it's been a very tough year for everyone involved with charities, so please consider supporting the Cancer Deadline Day fundraising campaign."

    TURKEY-BOUND

DeAndre Yedlin has sealed a permanent move from Newcastle to Galatasaray, Oscar Paul reports

The American right-back has signed up with the Turkish club until 2023 and will earn around £2.2million.

Yedlin’s Toon contract expired this summer, with Galatasaray saying the deal was “free of charge”.

The Toon are yet to bring anyone in but are still confident of landing Arsenal Joe Willock on loan until the end of the season.

    NO PRESSURE

Graham Potter has called for patience with new wonderkid signing Moises Caicedo, Tom Barclay reports.

The Ecuadorian international, 19, joined Albion last night (MON) for £3.6million on a four-and-a-half-year deal.

Potter said: “It’s no secret we have been working to bring Moises to the club, and we are very pleased he is finally here.

“He will need time to settle in with the group, for us to get to know him and vice versa, as well as get up to speed and ready for the demands of the Premier League.

“He has done very well in Ecuador and made his debut for his country just 18. He’s an exciting signing, but it is important we give him time to adjust.”

Meanwhile, Brighton saw club legend Glenn Murray leave for Nottingham Forest on a permanent deal yesterday.

The 37-year-old’s 111 goals make him the club’s second highest scorer in history behind Tommy Cook (125).

Potter added: “Glenn has been outstanding for this football club, a great pro and pleasure to work with. He quite rightly has earned legend status here.”

The Seagulls also loaned Chelsea defender Jack Wakeley, 20, yesterday and added them to their Under-23 squad.

    CHELTENHAM SIGN WRIGHT

Leicester City's Under-23 captain Callum Wright has joined League Two Cheltenham Town on loan, Graeme Bryce reports.

The 20-year-old has scored seven goals in 17 appearances for the young Foxes this season in Premier League 2 and the EFL Trophy.

Wright signed for Leicester from Blackburn Rovers in 2018 when he was 17 and could make his Cheltenham debut against Harrigate Town on Tuesday night.

    KING ON THE MOVE?

FULHAM are making a late move to sign Josh King from Bournemouth on a permanent deal, Tom Barclay reports.

Scott Parker has been desperate to boost his forward line but until now has been restricted to foreign loans only.

But owner Shahid Khan appears to be loosening the purse strings at the 11th hour to fund a pursuit of King, who is out of contract in the summer.

The Cherries are keen to sell rather than lose the 29-year-old for nothing. Fulham are already close on another forward in ex-Sunderland ace Josh Maja, who they hope to bring in on loan from Bordeaux.

That could see Aboubakar Kamara be farmed out to Middlesbrough.

    HERE WE GO

Mustafi will join Schalke as a replacement.

    SANCHO DOUBLE SWOOP

Manchester United have been targeting Jadon Sancho since the summer but have yet to reach a deal with Borussia Dortmund.

According to the Daily Express, United will make a swoop for both Sancho and Barcelona star Ousmane Dembele in the summer transfer window.

But the Red Devils are only going to sign one of the two star forwards.

The Manchester giants have been relatively quiet in the January transfer window but are set for a busy summer.

    AFOLAYAN SIGNS

Bolton have signed West Ham forward Oladapo Afolayan on loan for the remainder of the season.

Afolayan recently made his first-team debut for the Hammers against Doncaster in the FA Cup and managed to get on the scoresheet.

    KOUNDE SITUATION

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made Sevilla star Jules Kounde his top transfer target ahead of the summer window.

That is according to the Daily Mirror, who claim that Solskjaer sees Kounde as the perfect partner for Harry Maguire at centre-back.

However, United would find themselves in an intense bidding war if they go ahead with their pursuit to sign the Frenchman.

That is because Bayern Munich, Juventus and Real Madrid are also keeping tabs on the 22-year-old defender.

    UPAMECANO TRANSFER BATTLE

RB Leipzig star Dayot Upamecano has been linked with a move to Chelsea ahead of the summer transfer window.

However, the Blues will be subject to an intense bidding war with Bayern Munich if they decide to go ahead with their pursuit at the end of the season.

That is because Upamecano's agent Volker Struth claims Bayern are leading the race for the centre-back's signature, according to the Daily Mail.

However, Struth refused to rule out a move to the Premier League.

    BIG SHOES TO FILL

Watford have signed Denis Bergkamp’s son Mitchel as a free agent from Dutch second division side Almere City, Mark Irwin reports.

But the 22-year-old attacking midfielder has only been given a six-month contract to play for the club ‘s Under-23 team.

Bergkamp, who has understandably struggled to cope with comparisons to his famous father, was released by Almere last summer without ever playing a game for their senior team.

He had a trial with Arsenal towards the end of last year but didn’t do enough to convince them to sign him.

Now he hopes to impress Watford enough to earn a long-term deal in the summer.

“I want to prove myself with the Under-23s and one day hopefuly get an opportunity with the first team,” he said.

“I wanted to try something new and I’m really looking forward to the adventure. The facilities at Watford are great, the pitches are amazing and it’s a pleasure to be here every day.

“When I was younger it was difficult to be compared to my father all the time, but I’ve adapted to it now.

“He’s been amazing for me and is my number one fan who has always been there for me to help me work on my game.

“But it’s just my name and I’m my own player and hopefully I can leave my own legacy.”

Arsenal youngster Reiss Nelson doesn't appear set to join Valencia on loan.

    WEST BROM UPDATE

Well, well ,well! West Brom have agreed a deal to sign Arsenal midfielder Ainsley Maitland-Niles on loan for the remainder of the season.

Leicester were interested in Maitland-Niles, but Arsenal were reluctant to strengthen a league rival who are in the hunt for European football.

Southampton also threw their hat in the ring, but the player wants to play in midfield rather than wing-back.

West Brom are fighting for survival at the bottom and Maitland-Niles will be a massive addition in the midfield.

The Baggies are nine points behind 17th place Brighton, will Big Sam pull off the great escape?

    COSTA LONDON-BOUND?

Diego Costa has been offered to West Ham, according to BeIN Sports reporter Tancredi Palmeri.

reports surfaced earlier today that an unnamed top six Premier League club made an offer for Costa….. and West Ham are sitting pretty in fifth!

The Hammers have been in the hunt for a striker after selling record signing Sebastien Haller to Ajax earlier in the window.

David Moyes did, however, say that the clubs business was all-but done after yesterday's game against Liverpool.

If the Hammers do not sign a striker this window, they're left with winger-turned-striker Michail Antonio and Andriy Yarmolenko who has some experience playing up front.
