WWE star Elias could miss WrestleMania 37 NEXT YEAR with injury more serious than first thought – The Sun

WWE star Elias could potentially miss WrestleMania 37 next March through injury.

The 32-year-old, real name Jeffrey Sciullo, suffered a torn pectoral muscle recently.

That led to him being written off TV after being the victim of a car crash segment on SmackDown several weeks ago.

The Drifter is set to be sidelined for a long time due to the blow – but now it seems the damage was worse than first thought.

And Fightful Select’s podcast claims he may not be back to compete on the Grandest Stage of All.

They reported: “Elias got ran over by that car in a segment a couple of weeks ago, but he’s got a torn pectoral and may not be back till WrestleMania 37. Heal up soon.”

WrestleMania 37 takes place on March 2021 in the SoFi Stadium, California.

Typically, a torn pectoral is very painful and can cause severe bruising in the chest, shoulder, and arm.

A gap in the muscle tissue is sometimes visible with a pectoral tear and using or lifting the arm on the side of the tear is extremely painful and much weaker than usual.

WWE legend Triple H famously tore his pectoral muscle during the main event of Crown Jewel in 2018.

The 50-year-old joined up with old pal Shawn Michaels to face the Brothers of Destruction Kane and The Undertaker at the Saudi Arabia pay-per-view.

The NXT founder was injured in the action-packed match, which he went on to win by pinning the Big Red Machine after hitting him with a Pedigree.

Before going under the knife he shared a photo of the brutal damage he suffered, revealing a large bruise covering almost half of his upper body ahead of the operation.

The veteran returned to the ring six months after undergoing that op to beat Batista at WrestleMania 35.
