Aaron Paul Reveals the Angriest Hate Mail He's Ever Received

The “El Camino” star says he got the note during his days on “Breaking Bad.”

Hard to believe, we know, but apparently there are people out there who aren’t fans of Aaron Paul.

The "Breaking Bad" actor, who is best known for his portrayal of Jesse Pinkman on both "Breaking Bad" and the new Netflix movie "El Camino," was asked if he’s ever received hate mail during an appearance on "The Late Late Show with James Corden" on Thursday.

His answer didn’t disappoint.

"I did receive a letter that was disguised as a really sweet letter during the shooting of ‘Breaking Bad,’" he explained. "It had all these hearts and smiley faces on it. I try to respond to as a many fan letters as possible."

He quickly learned not to judge a fan letter by its cover, however.

"I open it up and it’s just this guy screaming at me so angry that I won the Emmy over a couple of his favorite ‘Lost’ actors, Terry O’Quinn and Michael Emerson, he was just so furious," Paul recalled. "Like, ‘How dare you take away an award from these brilliant actors?!’"

Paul won the Emmy for Best Supporting Actor in 2010, beating out Emerson, O’Quinn, Andre Braugher, Martin Short and John Slattery. He’d win again in 2012 and 2014, though was not against anyone from "Lost" for those two.

The conversation was sparked by fellow guest Neil deGrasse Tyson, who opened up about the letter he got calling him a "poo poo head." Watch the video for more above!
