Aidan Turner, who is currently starring in Poldark on BBC One, has been quiet about his dating history and former girlfriends. The Poldark star, however, was seen on the red carpet this year with his girlfriend, actress Caitlin Fitzgerald. Fitzgerald met the Poldark star on the set of a film.
Who is Aidan Turner’s girlfriend?
Aidan Turner, 36, is currently dating American actress Caitlin Fitzgerald, 35.
The pair starred together in a film called The Man Who Killed Hitler and Then The Bigfoot.
They met on the set of the film in Massachusetts in 2017.
Previously, Turner’s girlfriends have included artist Nettie Wakefield and actress Sarah Greene.
Fitzgerald, meanwhile, is reported to have dated actor Michael Sheen.
The actress has starred in films like It’s Complicated alongside Meryl Streep and the Netflix film Mercy.
The pair appeared together on The Man Who Killed Hitler and Then The Bigfoot premiere red carpet.
The first time Poldark fans learned that Turner had a girlfriend was in June 2018.
He told The Sunday Times: “I do have a girlfriend yeah,” admitting that she lived in New York.
He admitted this after denying reports he was engaged to a Gloucestershire-based graduate lawyer.
Turner said: “I don’t think I even know anyone from Gloucestershire…There’s absolutely no truth to it.”
The actor also revealed to the Radio Times: “We split our time between London and New York.”
However, he has not revealed much about his relationship with his fellow actor.
When The Sunday Times tried to ask more about her, he said: “I can’t say anything about that.”
However, he credited his Poldark physique on walking his girlfriend’s dog Charlie.
He said: “One of the best exercise tips I have is to take a dog for a walk.”
