BBC viewers confused as Jordan Banjo appears to have left jungle for Coronation gig

Some viewers of BBC One’s Coronation Concert were left confused afterJordan Banjo took to presenting duties alongside Clara Amfo, despite the star currently taking part inI'm a Celebrity… South Africa.

Jordan, who rose to fame on Britain’s Got Talent as part of dance group Diversity, shocked fans when he appeared at Windsor Castle to present the show, leading some viewers to believe that he’d flown all the way from South Africa for the occasion.

In fact, with the ITV show currently airing, other viewers believed that the broadcaster had spoiled the show by revealing that 30 year old Jordan had been evicted from the jungle – just in time for the concert.

“#ImACelebSouthAfrica #ITV lol nice job with the cliff hanger. #jordanbanjo is at the #coronationconcert. I take it he got evicted then,” wrote one user.

Another added: “Isn’t Jordan Banjo meant to still be in South Africa… [mind blown emoji]”.

Meanwhile, a third commented: “Bl***y hell Jordan Banjo?? Has he left the I'm a Celeb camp this weekend to host the Coronation Concert”.

However, luckily for the social media users, Jordan’s presence at the Coronation Concert hasn’t ruined anything related to I’m A Celebrity South Africa.

Unlike typical series of I’m A Celebrity which include live clips from camp each evening, the new South Africa series was pre-recorded some time ago.

As one Twitter user pointed out in response to another comment: “It's Jordan Banjo and I'm A Celeb isn't live”.

As a result, Jordan and his fellow campmates have been out of the jungle for months, regardless of how they fared in the show, meaning that Jordan was available to appear at the concert without jeopardising his place in the jungle.

While some viewers may have been left anxious at the prospect of Jordan saying goodbye to the jungle, Friday’s episode of the ITV show saw him battling to stay in the show.

In a tense head-to-head,the Diversity star was put against Georgia Toffolo, Andy Whyment, and Myleene Klass after the camp’s pride leaders Joe Swash and Dean Gaffney were tasked with picking two members from each of their prides to compete in a “straight race” for survival.

Speaking of the challenge, I’m A Celeb host Declan Donnelly said: “This is going to be close,” with the outcome of the trial set to air next Monday.
