When is Black AF season 2 out?

There is good news for fans of comedy series #BlackAF.

The series was given the green light for a second season by Netflix today (Tuesday, June 23).

Unfortunately, Netflix has not yet confirmed a release date for the new series.

Season one only premiered in April 2020 on Netflix, so the second series is not expected to drop until at least April 2021.

However, due to the current coronavirus outbreak, production on the second season may be delayed and push back the release date.

Who will star in Black AF season 2?

The entire main cast will return for season two of #BlackAF.

This means Kenya Barris will be back as an exaggerated version of himself.

He will be joined by Parks and Recreation star Rashida Jones, who will reprise her role as his wife Joya.

Also returning is Genneya Walton as Chloe Barris and Scarlet Spencer as Izzy Barris.

Iman Benson will be back as #BlackAf narrator, Drea Barris.

Justin Claiborne will return as Pops Barris alongside Ravi Cabot-Conyers as Cam Barris and Richard Gardenhire Jr as Brooklyn Barris.

What will happen in Black AF season 2?

Black AF is based on star and creator Kenya Barris real-life experiences of parenting, relationships, race and culture.

In regards to season two, Kenya Barris’ has given nothing away about the plot.

At the end of season one, Kenya and Joya’s marriage was on the rocks.

To try and solve their problems, they booked a trip to Fiji which did not go smoothly when Kenya realised Joya had chosen the spot to suit her book signing opportunity.

Thankfully, after Kenya watched an episode of the show Black-ish he created, he realised how much he loved his wife and wanted to solve their problems.

With everything going good for the family, really anything could happen in season two.
