Caroline flack quits social media but vows to ‘keep going’ after the ‘worst week of her life’ – The Sun

CAROLINE Flack has QUIT social media but vowed to "keep going" as she admitted this has been the worst week of her life.

The ex Love Island host told her 2.3 million followers that she felt compelled to reach out after attending Highbury Corner Magistrates' Court yesterday as she was accused of assaulting boyfriend Lewis Burton.

Caroline, 40, wrote alongside a photo her smiling, while posing on a red carpet: "Been advised not to go on social media …

"But I wanted to say happy Christmas to everyone who has been so incredibly kind to me this year.

"This kind of scrutiny and speculation is a lot to take on for one person to take on their own… I’m a human being at the end of the day."

The TV presenter said she needed time out to focus on her mental health, and said she needed to learn from her ordeal.

Been advised not to go on social media … but I wanted to say happy Christmas to everyone who has been so incredibly kind to me this year….. this kind of scrutiny and speculation is a lot to take on for one person to take on their own… I’m a human being at the end of the day and I’m not going to be silenced when I have a story to tell and a life to keep going with …. I’m taking some time out to get feeling better and learn some lessons from situations I’ve got myself into to.I have nothing but love to give and best wishes for everyone ❤️

She continued: "I’m not going to be silenced when I have a story to tell and a life to keep going with …. I’m taking some time out to get feeling better and learn some lessons from situations I’ve got myself into to."

Caroline signed off: "I have nothing but love to give and best wishes for everyone."

The star had turned off comments on her post, but it quickly racked up thousands of likes.

Yesterday, Caroline wept at Highbury Corner Magistrates' Court as she was accused of assaulting boyfriend Lewis Burton, 27, in his sleep after finding texts from a woman on his phone.

Caroline's hopes of spending Christmas with Lewis were dashed when she was arrested for alleged assault.

Now a bail condition bans her from talking to Lewis was kept in place, meaning the couple will have to spend Christmas apart.

Her toyboy lover denied she smashed him over the head with a lamp in a jealous rage – insisting: "Arguments do happen".

Following yesterday's court hearing, hundreds of Twitter users have shared a 2010 tweet from the reality TV presenter saying "I also love my new lamp".

Flack's post was in reply to another of her own tweets in which she said "I love living in Camden Town".

Her comment from almost a decade ago has been retweeted more than 600 times.
