Coronation Street spoilers: Bistro shooting, Roy's crisis, a baby proposal

It’s not long ago that killer Stephen Reid (Todd Boyce) killed latest victim Teddy, or that Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) left Mike to die, but Coronation Street has more carnage and violence next week.

There’s terror at the Bistro as gunmen open fire, with Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) fearing the worst for young Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan) as he is caught in the crisis.

With sinister Damon Hay (Ciaran Griffiths) at the heart of what happens, will he face justice as he makes a break for it?

Elsewhere, murdering Stephen seems like he isn’t finished yet as his war with Carla Connor (Alison King) heats up, leading him to tell a lie that puts them at odds against one another once more.

And Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher) is forced to intervene as Roy Cropper’s (David Neilson) addiction to his phone becomes more of a concern.

Here’s what you can expect to see next week…

Monday February 6

Nick calls Damon and confirms that the drugs have been delivered. Two masked men enter the bistro and pointing a gun at Ryan, demand that he hand over the drugs. Ryan’s terrified whilst Sam dives under a table and calls Nick.

As he answers, a gunshot can be heard coming from the bistro. Nick, Leanne and Damon race towards the bistro fearing for Sam and Ryan.

Having been alerted to the gunshot the police arrive with a sniffer dog.

Is the game up?

Todd pulls up in a taxi as Sean and Laurence head up the street.  The driver recognises Laurence and warns Todd and Eileen that their friend needs to watch his back.

Todd tells Sean about the cab driver. Outside the Rovers, Sean grabs Todd’s phone, finds the taxi app and shows Laurence a picture of Mitch the taxi driver. Laurence makes out he’s never seen him before.

At No.11, Eileen reveals that she’s found a picture online of Laurence and his wife with her arm round Mitch, the taxi driver.  Sean tells Todd and Eileen that they’re totally wrong about Laurence, and he’s booked them a minibreak.

Having placed the holdall of drugs in the boot, Damon climbs into his car, but suddenly police sirens are heard. Will Damon make his getaway?

Eileen and Todd track down Mitch the taxi driver who reveals how he and Laurence were having an affair when Lindsey fell down the mountain and he suspects Laurence pushed her.

Eileen and Todd are left shell-shocked. Eileen and Todd break the news to Sean. When Laurence reveals that the surprise minibreak involves mountains, Sean masks his unease.

When Sarah admits that she needs to work late again as they’re trying to win a big contract, Adam tells her that they need to make time to talk about having a baby.

Sarah tells him that now isn’t the right time to be thinking about a baby. In the factory, Sarah, Michael and Stephen watch as Beth works away on the new samples.

In the shop, Asha tells Dev he should be proud of Bernie’s golfing skills rather than jealous. Nina finds Roy tapping away on his phone and worries that it’s become an obsession.

Friday February 10

Having spent all night working on the samples, Beth tells Michael that her machine has jammed and if Carla sees it she’ll realise she’s been moonlighting.

Sarah promises Adam that she’s willing to think about having a baby when the time is right. Sarah and Michael meet up with Rufus from Donahues and show him their samples. Stephen shows Rufus around the factory. Carla returns and Stephen quickly steers Rufus away.

In the bistro, Rufus quizzes Stephen who makes out Carla is his PA. Rufus announces that he’d like the exclusive rights to their products. Peter gives Rufus a lift in his taxi and is surprised when Rufus explains that he’s here to do a deal with the factory.

In the bistro, Sarah, Michael and Stephen raise a toast to their new successful business. When Peter reveals that he gave Rufus a lift and apparently he’s doing a deal with the factory, will Carla realise what Stephen was up to?

In the café, Laurence reveals how there will be no phone signal as the village is in the middle of nowhere. How much danger is Sean in?

Peter calls at the factory and tells Carla how he intends to trade up his tablet for a motorbike. Peter calls at No.9 with the tablet for Ruby in exchange for some tools.  But when Ruby discovers the screen cracked, Tyrone tells him the deal is off.

Nina challenges Roy to put his phone away and work the rest of his shift without looking at it. Dee-Dee calls at the bistro looking for Damon.  When Leanne reveals that he’s banged up in Weatherfield Police Station for drug-dealing, Dee-Dee’s shocked.
