Coronation Street spoilers: Grace Vickers exit revealed as Michael Bailey finally discovers the horrible truth

CORONATION Street's Grace Vickers stunned soap fans when she made a decision about her baby, but now Michael will learn the truth.

The Sun exclusively revealed a dark plotline to come for the unhinged single mum, played by Kate Spencer, who will quit Corrie's ITV cobbles this year.

The character has already blackmailed Glory's grandparents, demanding a house from Aggie and Ed Bailey if they are to see the tot.

Yet things go one step further in upcoming scenes as Grace abandons her baby at home while she heads for a drink with Bernie at the Christmas Markets.

Ed and Aggie's son, Michael, doesn't yet know any of this but his parents soon fill him in about his baby mama's behaviour.

They break the news to Michael that Grace doesn’t want their daughter.

A shocked Michael cannot believe what he's hearing and catches Grace at the tram station.

He begs her not to walk out on their daughter, but can he change Grace’s mind?

Grace's departure comes after she candidly tells Aggie she never wanted a baby in the first place – before issuing her with a shock proposal.

Coronation Street actress Lorna, who plays nurse Aggie, has teased detail including the emotional impact of Grace's request.

She said: "It absolutely tears Aggie’s heart apart. Regardless of whether it’s her grandchild or not, in any circumstances the proposal is awful.

"Aggie takes it really badly and it really upsets her."

She added: "When she first hears it from Grace, she is absolutely disgusted that she would even make such a suggestion and she also thinks, is this legal?

"Her mind is going all over the place. It’s devastating."

Grace and Michael's relationship is set to become one of the big storylines as actress Kate gets ready to move on.

A source previously revealed: "Grace and Michael's relationship will come to an explosive head resulting in her leaving the street..

"Their relationship has been turbulent to say the least but it's about to go up a notch once more in the Autumn. It's going to be one of the major storylines on the show.

"The door has been left open for Grace to return to the street at a later date should producers decide they want her to return."
