David Beckham crouches beside his sons in new picture after being caught standing on tiptoes
DAVID Beckham crouched beside his sons in a new picture on Instagram – after trying to look taller in a family snap yesterday.
Fans of the Beckhams noticed the England football legend, 46, standing on his tiptoes so that his sons wouldn't tower over him in a festive snap shared by wife Victoria on Monday.
One person had asked beneath the photo: "Wait, is David on his tip-toes!!??"
Another asked the sporting star: "David, are you jealous of your son's height?"
Today, David confessed he was indeed attempting to give himself an extra boost beside ultra-tall son Romeo.
Posh Spice shared another picture with Cruz, 16, Brooklyn, 22, and Romeo, 19, all dressed in suits and ties with David hovering low in front of them.
She wrote: "My boys back together ❤️❤️ kisses"
And David replied: "Didn’t need the tip toe trick here ? the boys are back in town ❤️❤️❤️❤️"
Former Manchester United and Real Madrid star David is a touch over 5ft9in – which is the average for a male in the UK.
However, his second eldest son son is the giant of the family, standing visibly taller than everyone else in the snaps.
Yesterday's smart image showed the family all dressed up in their best outfits around a perfectly decorated tree with Victoria writing: "Christmas kisses from the Beckhams! ??✨."
Romeo, who is a footballer too, looked like he might also have been trying to get some extra height in his smart shiny shoes.

Their Christmas snap saw mum Victoria, 47, dressed in elegant green beside her daughter Harper, ten.
Many of their fans were delighted with the glimpse into the Beckhams' super-smart Christmas Day.
One wrote simply: "I love this family. ❤️❤️❤️???."
David earlier posted a picture with the family's dogs Olive, Sage and Fig in matching 'Ho Ho Ho' jumpers.
He wrote: "So girls this is what’s going to happen tomorrow ?? How excited are we ?? ???."
Victoria asked: "Does anyone love Christmas as much as my husband?!"
