EASTENDERS fans have predicted that Stacey Slater will be forced to make a difficult decision in order for her and her family to survive through the cost of living crisis.

Viewers of the BBC soap have shared their theory online about Stacey and how she will continue to provide for her family in the current economic climate.

Stacey, played by Lacey Turner, has had a difficult time recently as she discovered the news that her 12 year old daughter Lily is expecting her first child.

This has been a cause of immense strain and pressure on the worried mother and it has caused her to stop and think about her finances.

Stacey currently makes her living on the burger van but fans of the show have seen how it has been teased that she is about to make a huge decision in order to keep her head above water.

Now many viewers are convinced they have uncovered the dark path Stacey will be forced to go down.

Superfans have predicted that Stacey will turn to prostitution in order to earn extra income and keep the money flowing in.

Writing online, one fan said: "We know Stacey does something for her family soon, with a strong possibility she goes into prostitution.

"It does seem a huge swerve for her character and not a route you would expect Stacey to go down."

Another fan added: "Definitely feels like it’s heading towards sex work."

A third shared their idea who the story would start, writing: "I think they will go down the route of prostitution but it will be that she meets a bloke in the club and sleeps with him and he leaves money for her and then she probably will think this is easy money and starts that way, female escort in a bar then standing on a street corner."

Whilst another predicted that Nish Panesar could be one of her clients, as they said: "Nish immediately springs to mind from the current cast – and then using it against her down the line."

As another fan pondered whether Stacey would take the route of signing up to OnlyFans as opposed to prostituiton.

They pointed out: "Unless they go down the OnlyFans route instead of prostitution/Escorting, it did seem like they were going down the OnlyFans route with Chelsea last year and it never happened."

It has been confirmed that Stacey will be a part of a major storyline throughout the year as one of Walford's six leading ladies who all featured in the special Christmas Day flash forward episode.
