EastEnders welcoming wild new cast member – and he’s already causing chaos on BBC set | The Sun

EASTENDERS has a colourful new character — a foul-mouthed parrot.

And the pet — named Jasper Parrott — is already ruffling feathers at the Queen Vic by turning the air blue between takes.

The bird is joining the BBC soap as the beloved pet of Brian’s character Rocky Cotton, played Brian Conley.

An insider told The Sun: “This parrot loves Brian. It’s been hilarious to watch them between takes.

“The bird has only just started filming, but on its first day on set it went off script with some colourful language which definitely could not be aired before the watershed.

“It spent much of the take telling Brian he was a w****r. Of course, these animal actors are consummate professionals, so it swiftly got back to work with its beak shut — but everyone was in stitches.”

Jasper — named after comedian Jasper Carrott — is at the centre of Rocky’s custody battle with his estranged other half Jo — played by ’Allo ’Allo! star Vicki Michelle, 72.

Rocky is desperate to get the parrot back so he can play happy families with Kathy Beale, played by Gillian Taylforth, 67.

Earlier this year Rocky was forced to confess to his new fiancée that he got married 25 years ago and never got divorced.

It set the stage for the arrival of Rocky’s wife Jo.
