Emmerdale fans fume as they spot ridiculous weather blunder
Emmerdale fans have been left fuming at a "ridiculous" weather blunder in a recent episode of the long-running soap.
Viewers were left confused as the episode began with newcomer Caleb standing outside in a snowstorm. However, following this scene, the snow appeared in some scenes, while having seemingly vanished in others.
Fans of the ITV soap were not impressed by this blunder, with many sharing their displeasure on social media.
Taking to Twitter, one fan wrote: "Bad continuity tonight one scene it’s heavy snow next fields all clear and roads too then Caleb chats to Leila and hey presto snow snow everywhere."
"The snow only appears when Caleb and Nicky are around. I reckon they activate their own snow machine #Emmerdale" joked one fan, to which another quipped: "Praps Caleb shakes his dandruff."
Another annoyed viewer added: "Strange the way snow falls. No snow at the back of The Woolpack. No snow outside the vets. No snow in the distance when Marlon and Rhona are looking on, yet snow in the main street when Celeb and Nickey are talking to each other. #Emmerdale"
One fan appeared to have a theory on the snow, tweeting: "I do remember hearing that filming was halted due to the weather, which is probably why the village is snow free once again #Emmerdale"
And another viewer felt the snow drew them out of the story, posting: "In reality, Caleb and Nicky would really be like: WHY IS IT F***ING SNOWING? HOW DID 7 INCHES OF SNOW HAPPEN IN 70 SECONDS!?!?!?!?!?! #emmerdale"
Elsewhere in the Dales, fans were left reeling when estranged husband and wife Chastity Dingle and Paddy Kirk shared a kiss.
Paddy famously ended his marriage to Chas last year, after he discovered she had been having an affair with shady businessman Al Chapman – and had even planned to move away to start a new life with him prior to his death.
Having found out that his wife had planned to start a new life, and take their daughter Eve with her, Paddy soon found himself spiralling into depression, and in harrowing scenes earlier this year, even tried to take his own life.
Immediately after the kiss aired, fans raced to social media to share their thoughts, with many hoping that it wouldn’t lead to a reunion between the star-crossed pair.
“Paddy and Chas kissing was unexpected but I hope he sees that it’s too soon because this is what caused his depression to begin with,” wrote one fan. “ I will only accept them being back together IF she treats him like a king and no more affairs.”
“How hard can co-parenting be when one parent lives across the road?” Argued another. “ Eve’s damaged routine my a***e. If Paddy gets back with Chas, welp, he'll just have to put up with whatever temptations blow her way.”
Meanwhile a third fan was simply surprised to see the pair getting along at all after so many frosty weeks, as they commented:”Chas and Paddy getting along, I’m shocked!”
Before a fourth didn’t hold back as they added: “Paddy just kissed Chas and I wish he'd just get some bloody self-respect. She's repeatedly cheated on him and told him he's just a safe option for her relationship-wise and he's still crawling back.”
