Emmerdale fans left baffled by moving phone blunder during missing Samson scenes

Emmerdale fans were left confused on Friday's episode as missing Samson Dingle's mobile phone appeared to have moved since Thursday.

During Friday's episode, the Dingles, who had realised Samson was missing on Thursday, decided to start searching for the teenager after realising he hadn't returned home or arrived at his friend's house in two days.

In one poignant scene, it showed Samson's smashed and abandoned mobile on the floor of a wooded footpath as an oblivious jogger ran past it.

However, viewers were left distracted during the scenes as they pointed out on Thursday, where it first showed the damaged device, it had been in a grassy field.

Taking to Twitter, viewers were left confused as to how the phone had "miraculously" moved from a field to a woods within hours.

One person said: "#emmerdale eh??? I thought Samson's phone was in the field, now it's miraculously in the woods?!"

A different account put: "Wasn’t samson’s phone in the field yesterday?! now it’s in the woods? #emmerdale."

Another viewer wrote: "That phone was not on a pathway in the woods lastnight it was in a field #Emmerdale."

A different soap watcher put: "Amazing how Samson's phone in #emmerdale miraculously moved from the middle of a field to the woods since last nights episode."

While another viewer added: "Samsons phone was in the field right? Why is it in the woods now?!?! #emmerdale."

Later in the episode, after calling the police, Lydia Dingle went out to look for Samson as she remembered he always took a dangerous shortcut and thought he might have used it.

And things took a dramatic turn when Lydia found Samson's mobile smashed and abandoned on the floor, hinting at grave danger for the missing character.

Panicking about where he might be, Lydia shouted out for him before continuing to search the surrounding area.

And viewers were left worrying for Samson as the episode ended with the teenager lifeless and covered in leaves inside a deep ditch in the woods.

It remains to be seen if Samson is alive and if he'll be found…
