Emmerdale shock as Jamie Tate is revealed as alive as mum Kim finally gives up hope

EMMERDALE fans are in shock after Jamie Tate was revealed as being alive having faked his death.

The vet – who is played by actor Alexander Lincoln in the ITV soap – was presumed dead after driving his car into a lake.

However tonight he was seen alive and well having pulled off his scheme to disappear.

The Sun can confirm that this was Alexander Lincoln’s final appearance as Jamie and there are no plans for the character to return.

As Hazel laid into Kim for her twisted treatment of her son, Kim bit back.

“I gave him everything he could have wanted and he threw it back in my face,” she ranted.

“He even faked his own death to get back at me. The accident, his body not being found, the whole thing is a lie. 

“Jamie isn’t dead – he just wants to see me suffer.”

Hazel pulled off a blinder, calling Kim deluded for her belief.

She said: “For God’s sake, have you heard yourself? Accept it. Your son is dead, like my daughter, they are both dead.

“Why isn’t he here now? Even Jamie wouldn’t leave Millie to cope alone.”

As Millie came out of the church, Kim tried to manipulate the youngster into choosing to live with her.

But it backfired and Millie chose her grandma Hazel and went with her, leaving Kim sobbing.

Back at Home Farm as she packed up Millie’s belongings, it finally dawned on her that Jamie could really be dead and she broke down in Will’s arms.

As she said he wouldn’t leave Millie to go through that on her own. I just don’t want Millie to forget him. He’s dead, isn’t he? He’s gone.”

But as Kim gave up on her beliefs and sat sobbing at home, the truth was finally revealed.

Millie got out of the car at her grandma’s house to find her dad waiting for her – alive and well.

“I’ve been waiting for you sweetheart,” Jamie said.

“Oh dear, has granny Kim been worrying about me? Must be terrible for her. I missed you. I promise I won’t ever leave you again.”

Turning to Hazel he told her: “I can’t quite believe it – we did it. It’s finally over. 

“I never have to step foot in that hellhole of a house ever again.

“She can stay in there and rot all on her own.”

Fans are in shock at the scene.

One wrote: "OMG I was right Jamie was alive all along"
