Ex On The Beach narrator Andrew Maxwell arrives as third I’m A Celeb contestant

Irish comedian Andrew Maxwell is the surprise third name to land in Australia for I'm A Celebrity.

The comic arrived at Brisbane airport in the early hours of this morning after a connecting flight from the UK to Dubai.

The little-known comic, who is the narrator for Ex On The Beach, will be expected to bring light relief to the Jungle.

Andrew, 44, is also a regular on the stand-up and panel show scene.

When asked he said he was most scared of snakes.

Andrew told the Daily Star: "We don't have snakes in Ireland and you should never trust an animal without shoulders who can't shrug."

When photographers asked why he wouldn’t take his sunglasses off, the 44-year-old said “no one will know who I am anyway.”

More arrivals are set to touch down in the next few days including GMB presenter Kate Garraway and Nadine Cole from Girls Aloud.

Other names currently in Australis include American reality star Caitlyn Jenner and ex-footballer Ian Wright.

When asked how likely it was for him to win the competition, Wright denied he would be on the show and told the Sun: “Win what? I don’t know how many other players are in the golf tournament.

“I’m here to see Robbie Fowler. I’m doing some training with the Brisbane Roar.”

Last year’s I’m A Celebrity winner Harry Redknapp has urged the former footballer to “keep calm” in the jungle.

Redknapp told the Mirror: “I payed golf with him the other day and he threw a bit of a wobbler with another player.

“You have to bite your tongue in the camp. It’s hard. You can get tetchy as there’s nothing to do. It gets boring.”

Ant McPartlin will be back to present the show with Declan Donnelly after he took a year out to recover following a stint in rehab.

I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! is back next Sunday at 9pm on ITV.
