Former 'Bachelorette' Contestant Mike Johnson Says He's Exclusively Talking To Demi Lovato Right Now
It’s no secret that Bachelorette alum Mike Johnson has a fan in famed singer/actress Demi Lovato. When Lovato tuned into this past season of the reality dating show, she wasn’t shy about letting Johnson know that she was interested.
And since the show’s ended, the two have been flirting online both in the comments section of their posts and privately behind closed doors.
Mike Johnson confirms that he and Demi Lovato are talking and going on dates
On September 18, Johnson confirmed that he had taken Lovato out on a date.
“Demi Lovato and I went on a date. The woman is quite astounding and amazing. And that’s all I’ll say on that,” he told Entertainment Tonight.
According to an ET source, “everything went well on the date.”
“They had been messaging and then got in touch in real life through Hannah Brown” they continued.
Johnson also confirmed on the “Bachelor Happy Hour With Rachel & Ali” that he and Lovato are really hitting it off, and have even met up more than once.
“I think she’s amazing. She’s incredibly humble,” he said. “When Demi and I are together, it’s laughter and we talk about real sh*t. Like, she’s a down-to-earth woman and I respect it so much. And she’s just a really humble, really cool, really fun, down-to-earth person.”
As for their relationship status, Johnson says: “My status of the relationship with Demi and I are that we are two people exploring each other.”
Then, recently, Johnson spoke to E! about his budding relationship with Lovato. Apparently, the name of the game right now is “no pressure.”
“I’m just getting to know Demi. I think she’s absolutely fantastic and I don’t want no pressure on her, no pressure on me, we’re just trying to get to know each other. That’s all,” he said.
When he was asked if he was seeing any other women, he replied that he was fully focused on Lovato.
“No, it’s just Demi. That’s the only person I’m talking to,” he said.

Even though Johnson’s been flirting with Lovato for a few weeks, he was still disappointed to learn he’s not the bachelor. Apparently, he learned he was passed over for the role just before he went on stage for the Bachelor In Paradise reunion.
“When I first found out, I’m not gonna lie — I was sad. I was annoyed when I very first found out,” he said on the podcast. “But then, I think by the end of the night, I wasn’t annoyed no more because I was appreciative and thankful that they told me ‘No’ right then and there, because now I can focus on myself. I’m just blessed because I know I’mma find my wife and find my queen.”
