Freya stuns Hunter in Hollyoaks as she reveals she's in love – and things spiral
Hunter McQueen (Theo Graham) makes it his mission to tell Freya Calder (Ellie Henry) that she’s his teacher and nothing more in Hollyoaks next week, but he ultimately receives a big shock.
Freya, as viewers know, returned to the village earlier this year after some time way following a number of emotional and life-changing events.
Her dad Carter Shepherd (David Ames), the school’s new head teacher, has also come to Hollyoaks with her, and he’s proven to be quite the support to struggling John Paul McQueen (James Sutton).
Freya, meanwhile, has received support from art teacher Hunter, who starts to suspect that the student is developing something of a crush on him in upcoming scenes.
Hunter, as fans will recall, has started to fall for detective Zoe Anderson (Garcia Brown) and, next week, Goldie (Chelsee Healey) takes it upon herself to give the two a nudge in the right direction.
Freya is less than pleased when she finds out Hunter is going for a drink with Zoe, gifting her artwork to the teacher, who realises that the piece in question might be of himself.
Calling in some help, Hunter goes to Beau Ramsey (Jon-Paul Bell), as he recalls that he also once drew a teacher that he was in love with.
John Paul, meanwhile, urges Hunter to put a stop to Freya’s crush before anyone hears about it, and Hunter sets out to do just that, approaching the subject with Freya, who leaves him stunned with a revelation.
The student tells him that she’s in love with him – stating that it’s just like it was when he was in love with Neeta.
Horrified, Hunter tries to tell Freya that their relationship is nothing more than that of a teacher and a student, but she refuses to accept such a thing, storming off.
