Geordie Shore's Gaz Beadle marries Emma McVey holding their children as 'overwhelmed' kids sob through the ceremony

GEORDIE SHORE star Gaz Beadle has married Emma McVey in a stunning ceremony with their two "overwhelmed" children sobbing by their side.

The reality TV star couple said "I Do" in front of 90 guests and their kids Chester, three, and Primrose, 18 months, in Cheshire.

But their youngest – who was a newborn when lockdown hit last year – found the experience to be all too much.

Emma, 28, explained: "The whole event was a bit overwhelming for Chester and Primrose.

"They’ve not been in an environment with so many adults before, especially with lockdown and everything.

"They were supposed to walk down the aisle with my man of honour, Joe, but they were struggling with it, so in the end Prim was carried by my dad, who gave her to Gary, and I carried Chester, who was a little upset, up the aisle.

Gary, 33, revealed the couple said their vows while holding their bewildered tots – but said they wouldn't have it any other way.

The devoted dad told OK!: "We had to. Remember, because of the last 18 months, they’ve only ever known our house and their nurseries, so it’s not normal for them.

"And we’re not the sort of people who would leave them with others if they’re crying. If they want us for comfort, we’ll be there no matter what. Even if we are in the middle of getting married!"

I thought I would cry…

He added: "I always knew Emma would look amazing.

"I always thought I’d cry when I first saw her walking down the aisle – and I would’ve if she’d been on her own – but actually I kept wondering if Chester was OK!"

Emma and Gaz have been together five years.

Newcastle lad Gary announced his engagement with the model in 2019.

In April Emma explained she would be having an angiogram ahead of their wedding.

The procedure is a diagnostic test that can help detect conditions like congenital heart disease.
