GMB viewers fume as expert claims all eyes will be on Prince Harry

King’s coronation: ‘All eyes on Prince Harry’ says Morton

The Coronation weekend has begun and all broadcasters are gathered around London to witness the moment King Charles III is officially crowned King.

Good Morning Britain saw presenters Susanna Reid and Ben Shephard bringing ITV viewers the latest updates as they joined the crowds gathered in London.

However, when one royal expert talked about “all eyes being on Prince Harry,” fans tuned in were quick to complain.

Taking to social media, some fumed that the focus on the Duke of Sussex was “pathetic”.

Others pointed out the focus should purely be on the new monarch rather than controversies.

Prince Harry will be joining the service on Saturday without Meghan Markle.

Fans were previously unsure as to who would be a part of the official Coronation, particularly in light of Prince Harry’s recent Netflix documentary and biography, Spare.

In both, the Duke made extraordinary claims about the Royal Family, particularly Camilla, Queen Consort.

Royal biographer Andrew Morton joined Susanna and Ben to give his view on the upcoming events.

“There’s always something that happens off the programme that’s going to make the headlines,” he remarked.

The journalist added: “In 1953, it was when Princess Margaret picked a piece from the uniform of flying commander Peter Townsend and revealed their romance.

“This time around, all eyes are going to be on Prince Harry – where’s he going to sit? Who’s he going to sit with? How’s he going to behave?

“So that’s not part of the schedule but that will be making the headlines tomorrow morning.”

Susanna added: “And of course, the first time that Prince Harry has been in the company of Camilla, Queen Consort alongside Charles when he’s crowned King.

“A historic occasion, a momentous moment in our constitution and everybody’s going to be wondering what she thinks about what he wrote about her.”

“Yeah, be careful with the ceremonial sword,” Andrew added.

However, fans didn’t appreciate the speculation.

Twitter user Carl_oTheDj argued: “Not definitely not, won’t be switching on any tv.”

@TonyMcDonnell3 added: “Not mine, sorry! Today is about King Charles and no one else!!”

@spiceblackford penned: “Urgh no they won’t.”

“Nope not all – yours maybe and those obsessed with him,” @TaniaCummins2 shared.

@Bernade55379586 asked: “Why? Just pathetic.”

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays from 6am on ITV.
