Good Morning Britain's Andi Peters announces sudden exit from the show for I'm A Celebrity role | The Sun

GOOD Morning Britain star Andi Peters surprised viewers today by revealing he'll soon be jetting to Australia for I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

Andi won't be parachuted into camp as a contestant, instead he'll be keeping close tabs on hosts Ant and Dec and reporting on the latest goings on in the jungle.

The TV veteran, 52, will report all the inside action back to GMB viewers when the reality contest enters its final week.

He told Ed Balls and Susanna Reid this morning: "Okay the breaking news is: I am going to go to Australia to cover the campmates – that's the breaking news. So I will be there for the final week."

GMB's resident competition presenter has form for reporting showbiz gossip on location.

This summer he enjoyed a spell in the Love Island villa where he had free reign of the garden while the Islanders were kept inside.

He is also in the official press shots with a special hat that looks like it's exploded at the top.

Viewers can now choose who they want to be 'Jungle VIPs' – which isn't as much of a perk as it might sound.
