Holly Willoughby was moved to tears during Sunday's Dancing On Ice rehearsals – and it was a giant prehistoric dinosaur that set off the waterworks.

The presenter, who turned 40 last month, was practicing her lines with co-star Phillip Schofield when an enormous dinosaur prop crept up behind her, giving her a fright.

Celebrating "movie week" in the competition, the dinosaur had been enlisted to bring Lady Leshurr's Jurassic Park-themed skate to life.

Towering over the presenters, while Phil and Holly rehearsed their piece to camera, the scaled creature tried to poke and prod the This Morning star.

Holly went into panic mode and curled up, trying to get away from the towering prop.

In footage played on the show, Holly could be seen yelling: "Ooooh, where is it? Oh my God."

The mum-of-three then pleaded with the ITV crew, asking them to "make it stop" while shying away from the looming reptile.

Back in the studio, Holly admitted the panic had even sparked some tears, saying: "It made me actually cry! I had actual tears."

Phil, meanwhile, wasn't bothered by the giant creature and confessed he was more entertained by his co-star's reaction to the dinosaur.

"That was the best fun. It's been a long time since I've seen you that scared," he said.

"I've been so good with not being freaked out recently, I was saving it all up for that moment."

Later in the evening, the dinosaur accompanied Lady Leshurr and her professional partner Brendyn Hatfield on the ice, as they moved in tune to the Jurassic Park theme song.

The dinosaur then turned his attention to the judging panel, nudging Ashley Banjo as he tried to deliver his verdict.

While Lady Leshurr's performance was highly rated by the judges, she landed in the skate-off and was forced to compete against Rebekah Vardy.

After much deliberation, judges Ashley, John Barrowman, Christopher Dean, and Jayne Torvill decided to send Rebekah and her partner Andy Buchanan packing.

Lady Leshurr admitted she'd also felt emotional on the show, fighting back the tears after saying goodbye to fellow contestant Rebekah.

Once filming wrapped, she told her fans: "I nearly burst out crying tonight didn't think I'd get this emotional on a show like this but u guys don't see the parts wen u spend a lot of time with ppl that u probably would never meet in normal life [sic]."

Praising Vardy, she added: "@RebekahVardy I genuinely have so much love for u."

Dancing on Ice continues next Sunday at 6pm on ITV.
