Katie Price's ex Alex Reid launches shock new attack on 'car crash' ex saying 'she need serious help'

KATIE Price's ex husband Alex Reid has branded the troubled star a "car crash" and urged her to get "serious help."

In a candid video uploaded to his Instagram page, the former glamour model's spouse of two years said he agreed with Sun columnist Pier's Morgan's open letter to Katie.

Katie married MMA fighter Alex in Las Vegas in February 2010 after seven months of dating, and just nine months after divorcing Peter Andre.

The pair later had a formal wedding ceremony in the UK, which was filmed for her TV series.

Alex took to his page as he filmed his video in his car, and said: "Say what you want about me, I'm sure you will. But this lady needs some serious help. It is a car crash.

“I can say so many things about why Kate came into my life and there was a lot of pain and suffering. I've grown stronger out of that.

“The main thing is you can see the signs that have been going on in Kate's life for many years. Even just most recently the drink-driving.

“I talk about mental health a lot. I've suffered from poor mental health and we all suffer with bad mental health from time to time.

“It's important to be recognised and I totally and wholeheartedly agree with Mr Morgan that an intervention needs to happen because someone's really not right.”

Talking of their time together, he added: “It was a very crazy time and so I've had a lot of time to reflect and lots of intervention and therapy myself.”

Alex and Katie met at Michelle Heaton's 30th birthday party at Cafe de Paris, in London.

Despite dumping him on live TV, their relationship grew from strength to strength and they married.

It wasn't long before rumours started circulating that their marriage was on the rocks.

After just 11 months of marriage, the pair split, with Katie saying she married him "too soon" – with divorce finalised in March 2012.

Later on, she cited Alex's cross-dressing alter-ego Roxanne as a big factor.

Meanwhile, in Piers' Sun column, he called on the mum of five to "wake the f**k up pretty damn sharpish."

He wrote: "I don’t know what’s going on with you, but as your friend for 20 years, I can’t bite my tongue any more about the way your chaotic life is going."

He added: "By contrast, you seem to be on a deluded one-woman mission to self-destruct, and it’s heart-breaking to watch.

"In the past three years, you’ve been declared bankrupt owing millions in tax, admitted to extensive cocaine abuse, badly broken both ankles and feet jumping off a wall at a theme park in Turkey, suffered injuries in a late-night domestic fight that led to your then boyfriend being arrested, had endless new plastic surgeries (13 boob jobs now – seriously??) and recently been accused of repeatedly cheating on your fiancée.

"The shocking car crash you endured last September, which nearly cost you your life, should have been the moment to shake you into reality."

At the end of his emotional, heartfelt message, Piers wrote: "You may be outraged by this open letter and tell me to shove my concern where the sun doesn’t shine.

"But whether you want to hear it or not, someone has to tell you some home truths before it’s too late.
