Kim Zolciak Returns to ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ as NeNe Leakes’ Friend

NeNe is the one who pushes Bravo to bring back Kim to the show, as the former is reportedly planning something for the upcoming season 12 of the popular reality show.

AceShowbizKim Zolciak is reportedly re-joining “The Real Housewives of Atlanta“. A new report suggests that the 40-year-old TV star will return to the popular Bravo reality TV show in a “friend” capacity for cast member NeNe Leakes.

NeNe is the one who pushes the network to bring back Kim to the show, according to MTO News. “NeNe asked to bring Kim back,” a production insider reveals. As for the reason, it is said that NeNe “is trying to build a coalition, against Porsha, Cynthia, and Kandi – whom she regards as her enemies.”

The source goes on saying, “Nene considers Kim a loyal friend – like Marlo – and wants her win her coalition.”

If the report is to be believed, it is a suprising turn in NeNe’s relationship with Kim. NeNe and Kim are not the best friends for each other after “RHOA” season 10 reunion as NeNe called Kim racist. However, they seem to bury the hatchet after Kim reached out to NeNe after she learned about NeNe’s husband Gregg’s cancer.

“When my husband and I announced that he had cancer, Kim reached out. We had a conversation, and she sent over some gifts for Gregg,” NeNe explained during an appearance on “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen” last year. “Very nice. And she kept following up, too. She kept texting me.”

The 54-year-old went on saying that she and Kim could start a new friendship after their fallout. “I’m just not a hateful person, and I know how to forgive. I want to move on. So I feel like the ball is in her court because I’m very open with being cool and going out for a drink. Girl, call me,” she shared.

Kim is one of the OG members of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta”, which premiered in October 2008. She and her now-husband Kroy Biermann were given a spin-off show titled “Don’t Be Tardy for the Wedding” which later was renamed to “Don’t Be Tardy….” She left “RHOA” in 2012 during the fifth season of the series before returning for season 10 in recurring capacity.
