Love Island’s Georgia Steel reveals she’s suffering from loneliness and is the 'lowest she's ever been' since leaving the villa
LOVE Island beauty Georgia Steel has revealed she’s hit an all-time low four months after starring on the reality series – admitting she often suffers from loneliness.
The Celebs Go Dating star, 20, insists there’s a downside to fame and that “money can’t buy happiness” as she hopes to find true love on the E4 show.
Georgia, who became famous for her “I’m loyal” catchphrase, says viewers will see a different side to her this year as she's ditch her “loud and boisterous” persona.
In an exclusive interview she said: “Before Love Island I was a student making dinner off £2 but now I have a lovely TV, glass lights and a big mirror in a beautiful flat, my life has completely changed.
“But one thing I must say is that money does not buy happiness. The last few weeks I have been the lowest I have ever been since leaving the villa.
“Your highs are high but your lows are very low. It is a different lifestyle.
“I could be filming for the day and surrounded by people saying my name but then I go back to my empty flat on my own and it hits me.”
Georgia made an impact during her time on Love Island by denying that she kissed Jack Fowler behind Laura Anderson’s back, as well as getting into a heated row with Ellie Brown.
But she says she’s softened her ways during filming of Celebs Go Dating and has even come close to shedding a tear on camera.
She said: “On Love Island I came across really loud and as someone that always says what they want to say. You didn’t see my emotional side at all. But on Celebs Go Dating I’ve shown a different side to me.
“It is more than just going on dates. When you go and see the agents you talk about your past, former relationships, and your behaviours. I never like to cry on camera but there have been times I’ve come close.
“I hope that will be a good thing and that people will see I’m not just this loud, boisterous girl.”
The former dancer signed up to the new series of Celebs Go Dating just 24 hours after her and Sam Bird ended their relationship.
Sam accused Georgia of being unfaithful and cheating on him with her ex-boyfriend – while she claimed their relationship made her “miserable.”

Despite a backlash from fans after she failed to apologise to Sam during the Love Island Christmas Reunion, Georgia still stands by being loyal and insists she had no reason to back down.
She said: "I don't regret not apologising to Sam because I have absolutely nothing to apologise for. Everyone deals with hurt differently don't they?
"Hopefully people can see how much happier I am now I'm no longer in that relationship. I'm much happier. It just didn't work between us."
