Love Islands Shaq and Tanya hit the rocks as she compares him to her ex in tense row

Love Island's most stable couple Shaq Muhammad and Tanya Manhenga have hit a massive snag in their relationship as things boiled over between the pair during the latest instalment on Friday 10 February.

The couple have seemingly gone from strength to strength in the villa ever since they got together, with only a couple of wobbles along the way.

But things took an awkward turn after 24 year old Shaq's frustrations with fellow islander Ron Hall, 25, came to a head.

Shaq had ordered Ron to come and help with the washing up after the group date saw the boys cooking for the girls, but while the boys cleared things up the next morning, it wasn't done and dusted for Tanya.

She and Lana Jenkins shared their gripes over Shaq's approach to telling off Ron – "like he was a child" – and decided to confront Shaq together.

But Shaq was incredibly disappointed that his girl "double teamed" with her friend and he wished she'd have approached him on her own.

The row continued to bubble over into the evening, and it wasn't long before the pair were having a full-on argument, to the point where Tanya accused Shaq of behaving "so much" like "my ex".

Taken-aback by the blunt comparison, Shaq was fuming, but Tanya later insisted they were only having these problems because of how much they cared about their relationship.

While the state of Shaq and Tanya's relationship now remains uncertain, the islanders had a bigger shock in store as Jessie Wynter received a text that one couple were going home.

As the couples gathered round the fire pit – with Shaq and Tanya still in the middle of their row – it was revealed which three couples were voted the least compatible by the public.

Ellie Spence and Jordan Odofin, Samie Elishi and Tom Clare, and Olivia Hawkins and Kai Fagan, were all told to stand in front of the fire pit as it was sadly announced Ellie and Jordan were voted out.

The islanders said their goodbyes in sad scenes as Ellie admitted she thought she was about to "find her husband" in the villa.

But just as the islanders will reflect on another dumping, it's finally time for Casa Amor to rip through the couples and provide the ultimate test once more during Sunday night's instalment.

Fans will have to wait and see if Tanya and Shaq can withhold the trouble Casa Amor brings, as others are convinced Ron will mess up with Lana when his head is turned by a new bombshell once more.

There could also be trouble ahead for Olivia and Kai, who will undoubtedly be surprised they were in the bottom three for compatibility.

Having expressed their feelings for each other in recent episodes, the pair may be forced to address how solid their connection really is.

Love Island continues Sunday at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX
