Mark Wright strips topless to show off surgery scar & says he's put on 9lbs after Mexican holiday with Michelle Keegan

MARK Wright stripped off for a topless clip to show fans his painful looking surgery scar.

The former Towie star, 34, who had surgery last month, revealed he was cancer-free after having a 4.7in tumour removed from his armpit.

Sharing a clip on Instagram, Mark gave fans a glimpse at the scar which extended down his right axilla.

The Heart Radio star explained that the scar had restricted his usual activities – meaning he had lost some "leanness".

"I'll tell you now, I'm a massive massive believer in having an breather and a break, for example over Christmas especially with this little injury," Mark said.

"I've got a confession to make, I said I was going to get back on it on the 1st but it's the 7th and that's my first proper session back."

The TV personality then revealed that he had gained around 9lb following his boozy Mexican holiday with wife Michelle Keegan.

The couple flew to Mexico for the festive season, where they were seen seen enjoying delicious food and sipping on cocktails by the pool.

Mark shared photos to his Instagram stories of his and Michelle's matching piña coladas, as well as a stein of beer and Mexican-inspired cocktail.

He went on to film a delicious array of tapas as they dived into lunch, including spicy chicken wings, tacos and chicken-topped nachos.

Speaking about his weight gain, he said: "I'm absolutely drenched in sweat, trying to get rid of that holiday fat.

"I gained about 8lb or 9lb over Christmas – but it's all good."

Showing fans the rolls on his stomach, he said: "It gives me something to challenge myself in January. I will get it off."

The presenter, who recently encouraged others to get their lumps checked, said that the scar had caused him some minor inconvenience but was healing well.

"As you can see I've lost a little bit of size, not been able to do weights, probably another couple of weeks because of that little b*****d," he continued.

"We're getting there, lost a little bit of leanness and excess round there but it will come off.

"I feel like I'm on a journey now, I've got that first session in and I feel like I'm ready to shed this right up and gain some size up here and get back to living right."

Last month, Mark shared the news that he was cancer-free after an anxious wait for his results.

He said: “I got the all-clear the other day, it’s cancer free.

"It's in the past, we move on. I feel so, so lucky.

"I’ve had the worry and anxiety of what this could have been.”

Mark added: “I’m not gonna lie, it really gave me and my family a scare.

"Going back to this operation, I have not been able to train for two weeks.

"This is the first longish walk I have been on since the operation, so the first bit of exercise I have been able to do and honestly just already my head is clear.

"I've had the worry and the anxiety of what this could have been and from staying in and recovering leaving me feeling a little bit low and not very motivated."
