Maya Henry's parents – Meet Liam Payne's future in-laws who have £4.5m parties and Kardashian-style reality show

LIAM Payne has been in the spotlight since he burst on to the scene as part of One Direction back in 2010.

But the singer is soon to start a new chapter of his life as he is now engaged to Maya Henry, whose wealthy parents host lavish parties and even have their own gripping reality show.

Maya's mum and dad are Azteca Henry and Thomas J Henry.

Thomas is a wildly successful and extravagant personal-injury lawyer who loves to splash the cash.

They are of Mexican-American heritage, which also includes older brother Thomas Jr and are also based in Texas, where Thomas Sr. owns several legal practices.

Maya's dad is known for his philanthropy, giving away thousands of turkeys to needy families every year for Thanksgiving every year.

Lavish parties

Thomas is known for throwing stupendously expensive parties including Maya's jaw-dropping 2016 15th birthday bash for example.

A girl's 15th birthday or Quinceañera is an important coming of age celebration in Hispanic cultures, but Maya's was truly spectacular and was rumoured to cost $6million (£4.5million).

It featured live performances by Pitbull and Nick Jonas, and was held in a 55,000-square-foot facility in Texas that was organised by a team of 150 people.

"It was an amazing night, one I will never forget," Maya said of the party.

"I am so thankful to everyone who attended and to my amazing parents, who literally made my dreams come true."

Thomas forked out another $4million (£3million) on Maya's brother's 18th birthday, which also saw him gifted a $250,000 blue Ferrari 488 Spyder and an IWC Portugieser Tourbillion watch, worth a whopping $200,000.

Kardashian-style reality show

The family also star in their own reality show called Hangin' with Los Henrys, which covered the $4.5million 56th birthday party for Thomas.

"I want to have girls hanging from the ceiling,” mum Azteca says in the trailer, with Maya adding: “Girls in cages, painted in gold.”

The 2017 YouTube reality series, reminiscent of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, was paid for with family funds, and was speculated to be a cash-in on Maya's birthday going viral the year before.

Commenting on the family's boisterous and chaotic fun, Maya told Wonderland: "It was just us," Maya told Wonderland, commenting on the family's hijinks. We didn’t have to fake anything! It was all real."

It was announced that on August 27 that Liam Payne is now engaged to his girlfriend Maya Henry after two years of dating.

Liam and Texan-born Maya were first linked in August 2018, shortly after the hunk split from 37-year-old Cheryl – who he shares three-year-old son Bear with.

Liam, 27, recently popped the question with the huge rock – just months after their brief split in February.

Liam looked proud as he and Maya stepped out after they enjoyed dinner at the swanky Novikov restaurant in the capital.
