Mel Bs daughter Phoenix and Chelcee laugh off hurdles drama after The Games row

Mel B's daughter Phoenix Gulzar-Brown and Chelcee Grimes laughed off their heated exchange on Wednesday's episode of ITV's The Games.

In an explosive preview clip released ahead of the instalment, it saw Phoenix, 23, accuse Chelcee, 30, of "shoving" and "pushing" her during the 100m hurdles on Monday's opening show.

Phoenix was also left annoyed when she learnt that The Games wanted to re-check the results of the 50m breaststroke on Tuesday after a tight finish between her and Chelcee.

However, the two contestants laughed off the drama on Wednesday's show as host Alex Scott asked ahead of the women's 400m sprint: "We saw the elbows on Monday… the dispute in the pool… final thoughts, what are you both thinking?"

With Chelcee replying: "I feel relatively calm tonight, which is odd for me, as I feed off the crowd and the nerves but right now I'm feeling calm. I'm just going to run my own race and try not to elbow her out the way!"

To which a laughing Phoenix added: "I don't know, I do my best, I know how she is in this race… she's a winner in this race and so is Lucrezia and everyone. Long distance isn't my thing but I will give it, babes, just for you!"

It comes after the daughter of Spice Girls star Mel B, who has been supporting her daughter in the audience, told cameras on Tuesday: "So they’re saying they want to re-check it cos they are saying Chelcee came third and I didn’t. That’s bull c**p! I busted my a*s on that."

During Tuesday's show, footage had seemed to indicate Chelcee had marginally pipped Phoenix for third place in the 50m breaststroke.

However, a review of the result took place after the race and the technological analysis and independent judge both confirmed that Phoenix was in third place and Chelsee came fourth.

While in another scene filmed backstage, Phoenix also decided to bring up the close result of Monday's 100m hurdles, where Chelcee finished in first place and Phoenix in second.

Standing with her fellow contestants, presenters and ITV staff, Phoenix gestured over to Chelcee and claimed: "She pushed me yesterday."

To which Chelcee hit back and replied with: "I love the girl, but I’m not getting robbed like that."

Continuing, Phoenix went on to claim: "I played fair, you didn’t play fair yesterday, man" with Chelcee exclaiming: "Oh, you’re bringing that in!"

Phoenix then added: "That’s fair play. If you’re going to re-check this [the breaststroke], then re-check yesterday."

Chelcee then headed over to Phoenix as she asked: "What happened?" with Phoenix claiming: "What do you mean? You gave me a shove!"

As the exchange built up, whoops and cheers could be heard from the wider group, with one person hilariously declaring to the camera: "I'm going home!"
