Nadiya Hussain baffles viewers by adding spaghetti hoops to a fish pie recipe on her BBC1 Nadiya’s Time to Eat – The Sun

TV cook Nadiya Hussain baffled fans by adding spaghetti hoops to a fish pie recipe.

Viewers were gobsmacked when she revealed the meal to a guest on BBC1 Nadiya’s Time to Eat.

Her crunchy fish bake included pollock fillets, cherry tomatoes, fresh chilli, broccoli — plus a tin of the Heinz kitchen staple.

Ex-Bake Off winner Nadiya, 34, explained all at the home of show contributor Amy, who told her: “Most people will be shocked when they see you use spaghetti hoops.”

Nadiya replied: “There’s nothing wrong with it. It saves time.”

Viewer Claire Cavanagh was less convinced, tweeting: “Er…. Spaghetti hoops and raw broccoli in a fish pie. Nadiya Hussain, you are scaring me.”

Kay Cook added: “Nadiya love, what’s going on? Tinned spaghetti hoops (puke) one minute then faffing around making your own butter? Very puzzled by this series.”

Explaining her idea, Nadiya, right, described the hoops as the “ultimate hack”.

She added: “I’ve always got a can in my cupboard and I’m always thinking of new ways to use it.

"This has saved me on so many occasions.”

Her Bake Off mentor Mary Berry split viewers in 2017 by using white wine and cream in spaghetti bolognese.
