NCIS Hawaii is unlike the rest of the NCIS franchise with a lead female agent in the shape of Jane Tennant (played by Vanessa Lachey). The CBS police procedural has gone down well with fans as it is deemed a refreshing take on the classic format. So it’s no wonder viewers are eager to know when they can watch the next instalment.

WARNING: This article contains spoilers from NCIS Hawaii.

Season one of NCIS Hawaii premiered on CBS on Monday, September 20, setting the tone of the show with Jane being whisked away from her daughter’s soccer game in a helicopter.

Gradually, fans have also been able to get to know a bit more about the personal lives of the rest of her team.

This includes agent Lucy Tara (Yasmine Al-bustami) who is having an on-off romance with CIA agent Kate Whistler (Tori Anderson), making her the first gay main character in the NCIS franchise.

Fans may not see them get back together quite some time though, going by some of NCIS’ previous long-standing flirtationships like Tony Dinozzo (Michael Weatherly) and Ziva David (Cote de Pablo).

When is the next episode of NCIS Hawaii out?

NCIS Hawaii aired its latest episode on Monday, October 18, on CBS.

Typically, the spin-off series is on every Monday following a new episode of NCIS season 19.

However, fans are going to have to wait longer than usual to find out what happens next.

NCIS Hawaii will not be returning for episode six on Monday, October 25.

In fact, there will also be no NCIS series 19 on Monday either which is most likely why NCIS Hawaii isn’t on.

As the island state spin-off is just getting started, CBS is probably keen to keep airing them together for the rest of the season as it helps with ratings.

The reason for the schedule shake-up is that the network will instead be airing an NFL game in its place.

A game between New Orleans and Seattle is going to air from 8pm ET in America on CBS.

But there is no need to worry as the delay in schedule won’t last very long.

NCIS Hawaii will be returning for episode six the following week on Monday, November 1.

NCIS is also going to be back, picking up from where it left off in season 19 with viewers still getting used to Agent Gibbs (Mark Harmon) no longer being around.

After being in the drama from the very beginning, the veteran agent decided to leave NCIS and start a new life in Alaska.

So what is going to happen next in NCIS Hawaii when it is back with episode six?

The synopsis for The Tourist reads: “When Tennant and NCIS are tasked with finding a kidnapped globe-trotting social media star, they find that she is not who her husband, or her followers, think she is.

“Also, the team is at odds with Whistler, who has an agenda of her own.”

NCIS Hawaii is available to watch on CBS.
