Pregnant Gemma Atkinson shares sweet ultrasound snap of second baby ahead of giving birth | The Sun

PREGNANT Gemma Atkinson has shared a sweet ultrasound snap of her second baby ahead of giving birth.

The former Hollyoaks actress took to her Instagram to show off the 3D scan of her baby – her first son with partner Gorka Marquez.

Gemma, 38, who is already mum to daughter Mia, three, headed for a scan of her baby boy, as she teased fans it was "not much longer".

The photo showed the baby's face, including his nose and lips, close up as the actress photographed the scan screen.

"Got to see our not so little man today," Gemma penned. "He's all limbs and deciding to lay fist pumping my upper abdomen.

"Wonderful when I'm trying to sleep, eat or just breathe normally."

"All healthy though and strong heartbeat so couldn't ask for more. Not much longer," she added, tagging her beau Gorka, 32.

It hasn't been an easy time for Gemma, who has been plagued by mum-shamers after continuing to work out in pregnancy.

The TV star and her Strictly Come Dancing star partner announced they are expecting their second child back in January.

Since then, the mother-of-one has been keeping fans up-to-date with her pregnancy on Instagram.

TOUGH TIME

I was one of the hottest TV stars of the 00s but addiction turned my eyes yellow

This week, she was forced to hit back AGAIN at those who shamed her for working out in the gym while expecting.

"I’ve trained for years pre pregnancy & been given the all clear to keep training under the supervision of a woman’s health physio & my PT," she wrote back to fans.

"It’s been a while since I’ve moved like this as aside from walking and my pre bed stretches I did nothing on holiday.

"Felt good to do something and get my heart rate up a little. One thing I’m constantly monitoring now in my sessions is coning or doming on my bump as some call it.

"I don’t want to put too much stress on my abs as it could contribute to issues for my pelvic floor and diastasis recti post baby.

"I keep an eye on it, control my breathing and with a much more light and restricted program I crack on.

"For now, it’s not just about me, I’m 2nd to little man so my priority is housing him as best I can whilst mentally keeping myself in a good place."

This isn't the first time Gemma has hit back at the mum-shamers as last week she was accused of ‘gender stereotyping'.

It came she revealed the rooms for her daughter and son, but some fans weren't happy with with the outcome.

One troll said: "Not saying this in a judgy way because I think it's absolutely beautiful and I'm sure you've chosen something you know she will love… But it really plays into society's gender stereotypes.

"Pink, fairies, rainbows, pretty things and then blue for a boy."

Gemma hit back: "We didn't chose Mia's room – she did. She told the painter all her favourite colours and the characters she wanted.

"I designed the nursery with animals which I love & blue is my favourite colours. Always has been because it reminds me of the ocean. I've never been into pink.

"It doesn't mean I'm going against a stereotype or I want to be a boy or that I'm anti 'girl colours'. It simply means my favourite colour is blue."
