'RHONY': Elyse Slaine and Barbara Kavovit Have a Message for Ramona Singer and Luann de Lesseps
Barbara Kavovit and Elyse Slaine from The Real Housewives of New York City have a message for their former besties: “Their loss.”
Kavovit and Slaine recently had lunch in the Hamptons after the former friends were shaded during the reunion. Kavovit and Slaine shared a photo on Instagram of the new duo enjoying a pizza. At one point Slaine is feeding a slice to Kavovit.
Slaine joined the cast this season as Ramona Singer’s friend. Their friendship quickly unraveled with Singer turning her back on Slaine and referring to her as a “black widow” during the reunion. Reunion host Andy Cohen wondered if Slaine slid into Kavovit’s position from the previous season.
Like Slaine, Kavovit joined the show during season 11 as de Lesseps’ friend. Their friendship dissolved when Kavovit and the rest of the cast told de Lesseps she was going self-centered.
Both women were shaded during the reunion
Cohen wondered why Singer and Slaine fell out after being friends for years. “She’s a black widow,” Singer said. “And I knew this and I should have never trusted her. Follow your gut!”
“She said to me I will come on the show and these girls don’t have your back,” Singer added. “But I will! And she didn’t have my back, she betrayed me.”
Cohen then asked if Slaine was the new Kavovit and if de Lesseps and Kavovit were still friends. “No,” de Lesseps said. “That was her doing though.” Producers shared a reunion clip from the previous season of Kavovit telling de Lesseps she isn’t Adele.
Kavovit reacted to the comments on her Instagram. “Hello,” Kavovit shared in a meme on Instagram. “You don’t lose real friends, real opportunities or real relationships when you start standing up for yourself and setting clear boundaries.”
Adding, “You lose abusers, manipulators, narcissists, control freaks, attention seekers and mental-health destroying leeches,” she added. She attributed the remarks to Steven Bartlett.

Slaine and Kavovit posted their lunchtime photo hours after de Lesseps and Singer shared their own togetherness photo. Singer attended de Lesseps’ daughter’s art show and shared photos. “Season 12 reunions are over and @countessluann and I can finally relax,” Singer shared along with the photo.
“Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery,” de Lesseps wrote along with the same photo on her Instagram.
Meanwhile, some fans want a Kavovit and Slaine spin-off. And Braunwyn Windham-Burke from The Real Housewives of Orange County wants to join them. “So wish I was there,” Windham-Burke wrote on the photo. “I’m waiting on you love, COME!” Kavovit replied.
Some fans are here for the duo in any capacity. “Yesssss! Spin off, please,” one person wrote. Another person added, “Omg iconics being icons.”
“The only spinoff I need,” a fan wrote. So is it game on?
