Spoilers: 8 characters most likely to die in EastEnders tonight

It’s no secret that an EastEnders character is set to die and with rumours circulating between Bex Fowler (Jasmine Armfield) and Dennis Rickman (Bleu Landau) as well as Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) and Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters), fans are praying that their favourite is safe. But someone will end up in a body bag.

As it stands, Linda is trapped with Mick (Danny Dyer) in the cabin below while Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) has locked Dennis in another flooded room. Bex has passed out from a drugs overdose while Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) is holding a gun to Keanu as Ben (Max Bowden) points one at his dad.

And elsewhere, in a warehouse, Callum Highway (Tony Clay) is not in a good way and back on the Thames, there are a number of passengers still on the boat – so anyone could be aa hero and pay the price. But who dies?

Linda?

Currently trapped, Linda is with her husband Mick and has her foot trapped – they both seem to have accepted death as Mick has promised to go down with the ship and Linda. But while Danny Dyer has all but confirmed that Mick will emerge, a question mark remains over Linda. Will she pay a terrible price for the damage she has been inflicted through her addiction? Will the couple be torn apart forever?

Phil?

Steve mcFadden has just marked 30 years on the show, which is no mean feat – and so it would be very poetic if now was his last stand. With it being the son he has always unerestimated holding a gun to him – and it also being the third time he has been shot – will ben bring an end to his own father in a family tragedy to end them all?

Dennis?

Sharon is busy giving birth to a new generation of her family while oblivious to the fact that Dennis is locked in a sinking boat chamber. It would be a devastating twist for Sharon to gain one child and lose the other – especially if her childhood friend Ian is responsible. Could this destroy Ian and Sharon forever if Dennis doesn’t emerge?

Bex?

It’s no secret that Jasmine Armfield is leaving the show, having already filmed her final scenes. We have seen Bex bullied, depressed, suicidal and addicted to drugs so it would be the most tragic end for her to pass away just as she is trying, perhaps in the wrong way, to embrace life. Is this the end for the troubled youngster?

Keanu?

There’s nowhere Keanu can really go from here – Phil will never let him live and Sharon no longer wants anything to do with him. The only thing keeping Keanu alive is that Callum is still out there. But can Phil keep his calm and spare him – or will Keanu die for real this time?

Callum?

We have been led to believe that someone on the boat will die but what if this is a red herring and while Ben and Phil are wrestling with Keanu, Callum runs out of time. He is trapped and injured – and Keanu might not give away his location. Will Ben ever see the man he loves again?

Tina?

We have seen Tina screaming for Mick and she has vowed not to leave the boat until she finds him and Linda. With them trapped down below, will she get into trouble as she tries to save her family members – and will being partially responsible for the death of a family member be the worst possible wake up call for Linda?

Ian?

Ian has a decision – leave Dennis to die or save his life. He knows what it’s like to lose a child so if he rescues Dennis, might he drown while doing so – and could Sharon ever look at Dennis again if she blames him for the death of her childhood friend who has been there through thick and thin. It would be bold to kill off an original character – but an anniversary is a bold time so no-one is safe…

EastEnders airs on Friday 21 February at 8:30pm on BBC One.
