Spoilers: Yasmeen destroyed as Geoff steals thousands from her in Corrie

Yasmeen Nazir (Shelley King) was left horrified in Coronation Street tonight (September 25), as Alya (Sair Khan) informed her that Geoff Metcalfe (Ian Bartholomew) had stolen £5,000 from her — and lost it!

Geoff turned up at Adam Barlow’s (Samuel Robertson) office during Wednesday’s two-parter (September 23) in search of some information regarding Yasmeen’s trial.

With Imran Habeeb (Charlie de Melo) representing Yasmeen, the abuser was hoping that Adam would spill the beans, but naturally the solicitor refused to do so.

Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) was unable to resist dishing out a few insults — berating Geoff for the way he treats sex workers.

Geoff was fuming, but his attention turned elsewhere when he realised that he’d misplaced a bag of cash.

It was later revealed that Daniel had stolen his money, and in tonight’s hour-long special, Geoff returned to Adam’s offices in search of the missing cash once more.

Believing Alya to have stolen it, he accosted her in the street. However, Alya had no idea what he was talking about, but her interest was piqued by his accusation — as she began to wonder what he needed £5,000 for.

She later spoke to Yasmeen on the phone, and informed her of what Geoff had done.

Given that the money in question is most likely her’s and not Geoff’s, Yasmeen was horrified, but pleaded with Alya to leave well enough alone, as they all know by now what Geoff is capable of.

The question is: what is Geoff up to with £5,000?

Coronation Street continues Monday September 28 at 7:30pm and 8:30pm on ITV.
