Strictly Come Dancing 2019: Aljaz Skorjanec scolded for naughty behaviour ‘Bring it back!’

Strictly Come Dancing 2019 said goodbye to Dev Griffin and Dianne Buswell on Saturday night after they failed to impress the judges during the dreaded dance off which they faced against Emma Weymouth and Aljaz Skorjanec. This evening, the Viscountess joined Rylan Clark-Neal on It Takes Two, but Aljaz was told off by the host for getting distracted.

Emma and Aljaz took to the dance floor for the fourth time on the weekend and performed the Jive.

In total, they scored 28 points placing them joint eighth on the leaderboard with David James.

Despite their steady score, those watching at home failed to pick up the phone and vote them through to the next week, meaning they faced the dance off against Dev.

Having to perform their routine again, they managed to persuade the judges they belonged in the competition and received a unanimous vote to be saved.

When Emma and Aljaz joined Rylan this evening, the socialite and television personality spoke about the moment the floor went red.

But Aljaz got distracted when his name came up on TV and interrupted her by bursting into song.

And it didn’t take long for Rylan to regain control of the show and get the guests back talking about the topic in hand.

“I do have to ask, you did get to perform it [the Jive] twice and the weekend, you were in the dance off,” Rylan began.

“What was going through your head the second time?”

“It was so terrifying,” Emma explained. “Genuinely. I was so scared, nervous. It’s survival, you’ve got to fight. We literally had to go out there and fight.

“Something just came over me, you have one chance. The fact it can be taken away that quickly and it was terrifying.

“I didn’t know what to say. I thought my body was going to break in half but you have to be so focused, and just go out there and  give it your best shot or that would’ve been it.

“And I would’ve been heartbroken,” she concluded.

“But you did it and it was a unanimous decision between all four judges to save you both Aljaz. She stepped that game up didn’t she?” Rylan remarked.

“I think we were all, the whole studio gasped when we were, both couples… I’m sorry one second,” he remarked and turned his attention to the tagline which appeared on screen under his face.

“Aljaz Skirjoranec. Sing ‘We’re the Kids in America – Woah!’” It instructed.

And after he read it and understood what it was acting, the professional dancer burst out into song.

“I promised myself I was never going to sing that song again!” He commented afterwards. “Imagine! Imagine, you wake up in the morning and do ‘woah!’”

Emma who was sitting beside him was seen putting her head in her hands and just looking at Rylan straightfaced.

“Aljaz! Bring it back!” Rylan shouted at his guest. “She stepped up that game…”

“She stepped up her game,” Aljaz reiterated and continued: “and the whole studio gasped when both couples were announced to be dancing.”
