Teen Mom Kailyn Lowry says she's 'cutting unnecessary spending' after 'pay cut' & not filming with MTV for three months
TEEN Mom 2 star Kailyn Lowry admitted she’s “cutting unnecessary spending.”
The 29-year-old made the claim after saying she’s taken a “pay cut” for not filming the MTV show for three months.
While taking to her Instagram Story on Wednesday, Kailyn shared a “funny story about a plant.”
She said: “I’ve been trying to save money for the pool that I’m putting in at the new house and cutting out unnecessary spending.”
Kailyn added that her friend Kristen has been helping her budget, so she called her friend when a package arrived at her office insisting that she didn’t buy anything that was unnecessary.
Speaking of the mystery package, Teen Mom 2 star said: “Whatever it is, it wasn’t me.
“So it says that the order is from Etsy and I did buy something for the office from Etsy the day before, so I was like, ‘But this isn’t it.’”
Kailyn explained that she thought the package might be from “a secret admirer” and that “somebody cares about my obsession with plants.”
The series of clips concluded with Kailyn explaining that the gift was from her friend, adding that she’s “obsessed” with her new plant.
After noting she bought a new pot for the plant, the MTV star added: “I’m just very excited about my new plant.”
FILMING HIATUS
Kailyn shared the story just days after revealing she hasn’t filmed Teen Mom 2 in almost three months.
On Monday, Kailyn prompted her fans to ask her questions during a Q&A session on her Instagram Story.
When one follower asked if she is “still not filming,” the Teen Mom 2 star revealed: “I haven’t filmed for about three months.”
KAIL'S PAYCUT
A following Instagram user wondered: “Do you get nervous for not filming? Financially wise?”
While sharing a photo of herself and co-star Leah Messer rocking bikinis during their recent vacation, Kailyn answered: “I don’t think anyone WANTS to take a pay cut. But you can’t put a price on peace of mind.”
Her admission comes months after she slammed the network for hiring ex Chris Lopez.
Back in August, Kailyn took to Instagram to criticize MTV for their "lack of respect" towards her after deciding to offer Chris a position.
The mother of four held a Q&A session with fans, while one person asked: "Are you upset Chris signed to be on Teen Mom or are you unbothered?"
'LACK OF RESPECT'
Kailyn shot back: "I don't give one single f**k what Chris does.
"I care about how it was handled/how I found out and the lack of respect people have for me after 12 years of doing this show."
The Teen Mom 2 star previously took to her Stories to shut down rumors that she was "upset" about Chris's addition, as she said she "didn't know" he would be on the series until people were wrongfully "quoting" her.
She previously told her fans: "Hi guys, just wanted to come on here really quickly to let you guys know that I'm not upset about anything and I can't be upset about something and quoted about something that I had no idea about.
"So number one whoever is quoting me and selling this stuff to the tabloids you guys are insane, I don't give a s**t, and number two, I can't be upset about something that I didn't even know about until it came out that I was upset."
Kailyn concluded: "Like what? I didn't even comment on anything. So I just want to put that out there."
She and Chris share four-year-old son Lux and one-year-old son Creed.
The Teen Mom 2 star is also the mother to sons Isaac, 11, with Jo Rivera and Lincoln, seven, with Javi Marroquin.
